You may need a screwdriver when replacing this item. It is made out of metal and will require replacing if it breaks. This is available as an individual replacement part.

Grinder Spindle Lock Assy. This is an authentic DeWalt replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with angle grinders. The spindle lock assembly fits into the top of the gearcase and used to seize the spindle when changing grinding wheels. This spindle lock is sold as an individual replacement part, please note the compression spring and o-rings that are used with this item are available separately.
