Common Microwave Model Number Locations

Step #1: Use the guide below to find your microwave model number

Countertop Microwave

    On the door frame
  • 2
    On the inside of the door
  • 3
    On the control panel
  • 4
    Behind the control panel
  • 5
    On a wall on the inside of the unit
  • 6
    Either side of the exterior
  • 7
    On the exterior back of the unit

Oven/Microwave Combo

This type of combo unit may have two model numbers. The model number found in the microwave may just be for the microwave and not the appliance as a whole.

    On the interior wall of the microwave (microwave model number only)
  • 2
    On the right-hand side of the vent, under the control panel
  • 3
    On the door frame
  • 4
    On the rear panel

Over the Range

  • 1
    On the exterior back of the unit

Sample Model Number Tags

Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
