Airstream Starter Assembly
PartSelect Number PS10040084
Manufacturer Part Number A100998
This starter assembly is a recoil mechanism with a pulley, starter rope, handle, guide pan and springs; everything you need to efficiently start your equipment. This starter assembly is designed for and compatible with various models of edgers and is sold as an individual OEM assembly, without any securing hardware like screws. Starter assemblies can break, wear out, and eventually need replacing because they are a high-use part, and this can show in areas such as starter ropes breaking or fraying, recoil springs not holding the same level of tension, or if a smaller, more complex component within the assembly is not working properly anymore. If you notice that your edger is not starting easily, has starting issues, or the engine simply no longer cranks ? those are signs that the starter assembly needs replacing. This replacement process is as simple as unscrewing the securing screws from the old starter assembly from the cylinder head part of your edger and securing the new starter assembly in its place.

Airstream Air Cleaner Gasket
PartSelect Number PS10039823
Manufacturer Part Number A100627
This OEM-approved air cleaner gasket creates a seal between the air cleaner housing and the carburetor in your lawn and garden equipment. It makes sure that only clean air enters the engine for combustion. Over time, the gasket wears out. It may appear cracked, flattened, or distorted. You need to replace a damaged gasket. Otherwise, air leaks can happen, and debris and contaminants can enter the engine. This leads to reduced engine efficiency, rough running, and even engine stalling. If you are replacing your gasket, remove the spark plug first. You then need to access the air cleaner housing by removing its cover with a screwdriver.
