Pressure Switch WP27001203

The water level reset switch (dial) is not clicking and now turns in a 360 circle.Think someone forced it into a circle and now it doesn't stop filling and the clicking noise is erratic. Though I can stop it when I hear it click and that does stop water from overfilling and it does stop at the level indicated when I hear the click. Hope that made sense. Trying to say it used to click at each dot on the dial and now only clicks at random levels.Can't find the part # on the online chart. It is a Maytag legacy series.Which I also can't locate online.I believe it's a mechanical problem and not electrical but honestly know nothing.

The machine was running and started the rinse cycle then suddenly stopped. Pushed the knob in the out again, no power. I tried moving the knob to other positions, push it in and out but it would not run at all on any selection. There are some clicks still there but some seem missing and the clicks don't feel as crisp and loud as before. I left it on the spin cycle with the knob pulled out. There was power at the outlet to the machine at all times, then suddenly without input it started the rinse cycle like nothing happened. I ran the machine through another wash after and it ran through all the cycles and worked ok but to me, the clicks don't feel the same (it seems to turn a little more freely with less resistance/clicks than before). Is it the timer assembly or the pressure switch or both?

My washer will turn on and water will flow but the tun does not fill up. I've done very little research on the cause but everything i've seen points back to the pressure switch. Is that correct? Or should i be looking for something else?
