My Frig Light Stopped
I am a 65 year old woman with no mechanical aptitude: I just unplugged the frig. And used a screw driver to pry of the plastic socket from its outside edge. . Then you just unplug two tiny contact plugs that appear when you pull out the socket and replug in those two the same way on the new part. Pop the socket back into the hole . . . . And screw in the new bulb. I knew I needed the socket part cause when the bulb burned out , a new bulb still did not work. . . If I can do it, anyone can!

Ice Maker Stop cycling and making ice
Removed the Ice Bucket and Cover. Unbolted the two screws that attach the ice maker to the rear of the refrigerator panel and unplugged the ice maker. Plugged in the new ice maker and attached the two mounting screws. Reinstalled the cover and ice bucket and pressed the ice maker on button for 15 seconds. Voila, we have ice again! Very easy. And the part was $30 cheaper than my local appliance parts store.

Broken hinge bearing
This was one of the best internet purchasing experiences we have had. Certainly the convenience of ordering the part, speed of delivery, and "how too" instructions were fantastic. Unfortunately, the hinge bearing (PS976452) was diagrammed with the door and the closer plate (PS976594) was diagrammed with the refrigerator. You don't recognize you need both parts until you take the door apart. This necessitated two orders and two shipping charges and taking the door off twice. It would have been better if the whole hinge assembly had been diagrammed together. The fact that the second part was here in 24 hours even with standard ground shipping still made this an excellent experience. Works great. Thank you.

Crisper support 'pin' for crisper broke off x 2
1) cleared remaining parts of broken crisper supports by pushing them into refrigerator insulation(pushed on 'pegs' so 'peg' holes in side of plastic inner liner of refrigerator were clear. 2) Was unable to fully place new crisper supports into postiion. 3) Then, out of despiration, used small light hammer to gently tap on largest 'pin.' I was surprised to see this 'pin' enter into plastic side of refrigerator and then to see crisper support was secure when 'pin'/peg' was flush with new crisper support. 4) then returned crisper to correct postion; supports held. 5) WARNING-DO NOT OVERLOAD CRISPERS!! I BELIEVE THIS CAUSED 'PIN'/'PEG' FAILURE INITIALLY! I don't know if cause was volume too high with crisper forced into place OR if the crisper mass/weight was the culprit. SUGGEST weight limit less than 7.5 lbs.; don't attempt to load in more volume than top of crisper.
