pulley broke
I originally thought the belt broke, so I ordered a belt first. Once my friend broke the dryer down, it turned out to be the pulley. In any case, we still went ahead and put the new belt on since it had never been replaced anyway. I was not home when my friend put the pulley on, but my dryer is much quieter and running just great. I'm just glad I found this site online.

Dryer was not heating
I removed the front Panel of the dryer. I then removed two screws with the nut driver holding the heating element in place. After removing the old element I removed two screws holding the thermostat on the old element. I then used these screws to attached the new thermostat to the new element. I then put the new element in place and reattached with the screws, put the wires back on and replaced the front panel and wha la I had heat again.

noise was loud all through cycles-sounded like something was rubbing on drum
followed online instructions plus did extensive cleaning on fan blower and air exist chambers along with the removeable lint fileter chamber and any other dust inside the main cabinet. Cleaned residue buildup on belt and drum surface areas. Drum roller kits did not supply or mention the spring wave washers located on the back side of the roller which keep the wheels from moving back and forth on the shaft. All phases went ver well and dryer is now running very quiet again.

Tennis shoes in the dryer broke a baffle
I ordered this part online to save myself the cost of an appliance repairman's charge for the same item. I expected to have to call a repairman anyway to install it though. With the order came a youtube video of how to do the repair and it was a piece of cake. I did the repair myself in less than 15 minutes. Can't praise the PartSelect enough for this invaluable customer service. I'm saving their website on 'my favorites' for the next time I need an appliance part.

Squealing drum roller
Watch the repair video. Hardest part was getting the rear plate that held the drum rollers back on. I ended up screwing two screws from front of plate so they stuck out the back so I could line up plate and screw in two screws in the other two holes from back of dryer. As far as having dryer all apart I installed a new belt. Glad I ordered one as old belt was dried and cracked.

With selector swith turned on,can hear tumbler motor on but tumbler does not turn Replace belt.
Disconnect power & shut off gas. Repair entry is from the front, Remove clothes access door mark & remove all visable screws, push down on the front panel held up by two spring clips at the bottom of the panel. Remove the broken belt and make sure it matches the old belt. Remove left & right clips located at top left & right corners. This will release the control center panel top lid , flip up this hinged lid and secure it. Remove a secondary front panel that the tub rotates on. You can now install the new belt, ribs down on the tub & line it up on the marks left by the old belt make sure the belt is not twisted. Reach under the tub with your lelt and right hand , with your right hand flex the idler arm pulley to the left and lace the belt around the ribed motor pulley with your left hand. Reverse these steps By replacing the front secondary panel this is what the tub rotates. Then spin it, it will be a little stiff that is o.k. just as long it not binding. Replace all panels and door. Congratulations it's done. Plug in power & turn the gas on. Also replace that old plastic vent exhaust duct with a flex aluminum duct, it could be a fire hazzard.
