Horrible squeal when dryer was on
Checked YouTube and saw a video that described the removal of the drum, belt and rollers - step by step. Ordered the parts. Once they arrived, we realized we didn't need all that we purchased, but putting the dryer back together was easy and the dryer no longer squeals when on. YEAH FOR US!

The timer skirt broke
Ordered new timer skirt. Watched video on replacing it. Removed timer dial skirt and knob. Used screwdriver to release tabs on knob. Made sure the metal insert on old skirt came off with the old skirt. Installed new timer dial skirt, pressed knob into place and made sure it latched. Installation complete in 30 seconds. Fit and works perfectly. Only problem I have had in 14 years other than the inside light burns out often. Thank you!

Door catch broken.
I pried out the old one slightly and grabbed it with pliers. Quite possibly the metal catch dropped into the door section, but no problem. I pushed the new one into place with the side of the pliers. Probably 3 minutes time.

Dryer was turning off early and sometimes not heating.
Took the back panel off the control area. Pulled the knob off the timer dial. Removed the two hex screws. Took the wires off, one at a time, using a small screw driver to loosen the connectors and put them on the new timer. Put the new timer in place, holding it while I put the screws in then replaced the knob. Reinstalled the back panel.
