Whirlpool washer plate replacement
Part fit perfectly. Supplying a replacement bolt was great, damaged the original bolt removing it. New bolt had thread lock applied, which is necessary to keep the plate secured.

Easy repair, part fit perfect
The hardest thing about this repair, was getting the old one off. The new part arrived on time, new in box, and came with a new bolt also. A five minute repair, saved us lots of money. I highly recommend Parts Select

The washing machine tub wouldn't spin dry. I could hear some grinding when it was supposed to start spinning.
I knew the hub was probably the issue. I also knew it could be difficult to remove the wash plate, as I tried to do it before on another model a few years ago. When I took out the wash plate bolt, and made the decision to carefully smash the wash plate with a hammer and remove it piece by piece, it was very simple to get to the hub and

As women, myself and my daughter completed this fairly simple repair. The replacement washer plate was top quality and included the washplate replacement screw. Additionally, we purchased a tube of lock tight to further secure bolt placement. The most difficult part of the repair is to disengage old screw and securely replace with new one

Could I use any other part number that fits w10609476 Whirlpool washer plate
For model number WTW5000DW0
Hi Antonio,
Thank you for your question. The original part number that you have there has been discontinued and replaced with this part. This would be the part that replaces the number you have and it is the correct replacement for your model. Good luck with your repair.

I noticed that a few dimes and a penny have slipped down and are between the wash plate and the outer ring. I am worried that they might work themselves down into the water discharge system. My question is, can I remove the bolt that is holding the washplate plastic inner ring and lift out the ring to get the coins. I cannot seem to find any information on this. Thank you for your assistance.
For model number WTW7300DW0
Hi Kenneth, Thank you for the question. Yes, you will need to remove the bolt to lift the washplate and ring out to separate them and remove the coins. Hope this helps!

Is it possible for the wash plate to be gauled to the shaft? I cannot get it off.
For model number wtw5000dw1
Hello Leonard, Thank you for the question. The Washplates are not glued but may take a bit of force and there is a bolt at the top that will need to be removed. We hope this helps.

My clothes are not getting washed, if i replaced wash plate will this help??
For model number WTW5000DW0
Hello Elizabeth, thank you for your question. It depends on what the issue is. If the washplate is broken it should be replaced. If the shaft that agitates the wash plate isn't moving the issue could be the Part Number: PS6012095 Drive hub kit, Part Number: PS11773169 gear case, Part Number: PS11747978 Drive Belt, Part Number: PS10057144 drive pulley. We would recommend checking those parts before replacing just the washplate. I hope this helps!

How do i know if the washer plate is slipping is cause by the threaded gear in the washer plate or the gear it sits on ?
For model number W10752283 Washer plate #
Hi Keena,
Thank you for your question. It sounds like the bolt that secures it may not be secured correctly or the issue could be with the housing. I would check both of these items to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Why will my washer stop working once it gets to the rinse and spin cycles? What could be the problem?
For model number WTW5000DW2
Hello Kayla, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Washing Machine Door Lock Assembly, PartSelect Number PS12704713. The lid switch assembly detects if the washer lid is open or closed and prevents the washer from spinning. Hope this helps!
My washplate bolt keeps loosening after we tighten it and we were told that the washplate is stripped. If we order another washplate will that fix the problem most likely?
For model number WTW5000DW1
Hi Lisa, Thank you for the question. Yes if the plate is stripped it will need to be replaced in order to fix the issue. hope this helps!
