I am getting an F7E1 error code on my top load Whirlpool washing machine. Prior to the code it was making a grinding noise
For model number WTW5100HW2
Hi Dlc, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, the error code F7E1 indicates a fault with the shift actuator. If you are getting a grinding noise, that means your shift actuator below the tub is not shifting properly. We would suggest replacing the shift actuator, part number PS16221077, to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
I have an issue with my washer. I am getting the error F7E1 and I have replaced the shifter and I am still receiving the error and help would be greatly appreciated!
For model number WTW5100HW2
Hello Agustin, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the error code F7E1 indicates a motor speed sensing error, the motor can not achieve the correct speed for the cycle selection. We would recommend checking the drive motor. If it is fine, then the issue is most probably with the control board, part number PS16620465. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
Curious if anyone has insight what this noise is, I fear it’s a possible bearing but I don’t think it’s just a bearing to be replaced anymore. It’s a motor :( it’s a loud grinding static type of noise

Hi Lacy, thank you for contacting us. Please check these parts to fix this issue: drive pulley, part number PS10057144, and drive motor, part number PS11770267. If you are still facing the issue, you may need to check the gearcase, part number PS16730207. We hope this helps!
New washer was just installed. Keep getting an error code saying "no water detected" and the Cycle won't finish
For model number WTW5100HW2
Hi Joey, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, this error indicates that the washer is not detecting any water flow going to it. Make sure that the washer is properly connected to the home water supply and that the home water supply valve is turned on. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to make sure that the hose to the washer is not kinked or damaged. If the issue persists, you may need to check the water inlet valve, part number PS12348013, for any blockage or damage. We hope this solves your problem!
Washer make loud grinding while in spin cycle

Hello Lance, thank you for getting in touch. We have concluded that the issue is with the washer drive pulley, part number PS10057144. You may need to replace the part to fix this issue. Good luck with your repair!
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.
