Plastic part of icemaker broke
I watched the video and then read the instructions. Emptied and cleaned freezer compartment. Removed old unit and removed part of old unit to be used in new installation. I then installed the new unit and turned the water back on. I let the unit produce over night and through the first batch of ice away. Because of the various regrigerators this ice maker was used I had a little confusion recognizing our model, but worked through this problem useing some common sense. All around I'm very satisfied with the results.

Large pieces of plastic started showing up in the ice.
I determined that the auger was broken. But with company coming in a week I did not want to take a chance with needing additional parts. I simply ordered the whole assembly. It arrived in plenty of time and installing it was easy. Take it out of the box, rinse it out with warm soap and water, dry it out, remove the old bucket and slide the new one in its place. Absolutely no problem! I was surprised on how well the new ice dispenser worked after the swap. My old one must have been broken for some time.

Flapper on ice dispenser wouldn't close after dispensing ice.
When I clicked on the part to see it's description the pop up window included a youtube video on how to install the part. The video was right on the mark. Very easy installation. Phillips screwdriver was the only tool needed. Repair performed in less than 15 minutes. I have used this site before and it has been extremely helpful in saving me money by doing the repairs myself instead of paying an arm and a leg for a repairman to do it.

Erratic evaporator fan and compressor operation
We had been told at some point the main control board would need replacement, due to various system issues with the refrigerator. The total repair cost would have been close to $400. The cost of the board was less than half of that cost. The instructions provided by PartSelect were very good. There was also a video of a similar model of refrigerator that outlined and showed every thing step by step. I removed the screws from the access panel in the back of the unit. unplugged the electrical plugs, removed the board. Installed the new board, reinstalled the plugs (all were idiot proof as PartSelect indicated), reinstalled the access panel and plugged the refrigerator back in. It has worked like new since install. This is an excellent website and service. I will use it again as needed with all my appliances.

The Auger had broken in the ice maker so ice would not dispense
I ordered the part and was sent a link to a video that did a great step by step visual of the repair. I had my laptop and played the video ( paused a few times to catch up) and had the repair done within an about 30-45 minutes. The video covered everything that needed to be done it was great.

Ice maker leaking
Quite easy. Turn off water supply and turn off ice maker at switch inside freezer. Unscrew the old unit, separate the electrical connection, and pull it out. New unit comes with parts that do not fit my refrigerator, so visually examine the new and old units, reuse any needed parts from the old unit, such as plastic water ramp. Reconnect the electrical connector, and screw it back in. Turn water supply back on and then turn ice maker back on at switch inside freezer. Discard unused parts. Wait up to 24 hours for new ice cubes to be made.

Plastic Broken on icemaker auger
The repair was hard because the nut holding the auger to the icemaker was reverse thread. If you tried to get it off the normal way, you just continued to tighten it up and therefore the assembly wouldn't come apart. Once I figured that out there was a number of screws that held the housing to the icemaker that had to be removed. Putting it all back together was reasonably straightforward. Put the assembly back into the refrigerator and it started making ice cubes in about an hour.

Original Bracket shattered
I screwed the replacent bracket back in on the right side of the refridgerater and slid the draw back in.It was easy and took about 10 minutes with a philips Screwdriver.I did replace the short screws with longer ones that made it much easier.By ordering the part from Part Select & putting the bracket myself I probably saved $100.If I need any additional parts I will definately order from Part Select again .The price was right and they delivered it promptly. Thank You Gil

augar was broken and needed to be replaced
My daughters boyfriend replaced it for me. The helpful hints on this site helped alot. Most difficult part was getting the C-clamp off and a flat head screwdriver was necessary for this. When taking off the other washers etc... keep them in order so they can be replaced in the correct order.
