My ge microwave recently went out. I was told that the magnatron was bad. So I replaced it. Microwave still didn't work. So I troubleshooted the microwave some more and found that a thermal fuse was bad. I replaced the thermal fuse. Microwave started working with the exception that the vent fan starts running as soon as I plug in the microwave. I can push the vent fan button and it will go from high to low. But when I push the off button, the exhaust fan continues to run. I checked the thermal fuse behind the control pannel and it is fine. Has the control board gone bad on my microwave??

Something went out when I changed the light bulb, and now the surface light will not work. What part (circuit board?) do I need to replace, and is it a difficult process?Thanks

Thank you for your question. If the lights underneath the microwave are not turning on, the issue may be the light socket, the wiring connected to the socket, the door switches or the electronic control board. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter.
