How do i access line fuse to change it out
For model number JVM3160RF2SS
PartSelect logo
Hello Derek, Thank you for your question. To replace the fuse for this model, first you have to unthread the screws holding in the vent grille on the top. Open your microwave door before doing this as it will give you more access. Once you have removed the front panel, the screws for the control panel should reveal themselves. Unthread those and you should be able to left the panel off and have access to the fuse. Remove the wires attached, then thread the mounting screws from the base of the fuse and remove it, simply replace the fuse and remount it. reapply the panels and the screws and you should now have a working microwave. We hope this helps you.

When I remove the trim piece to get to the screws to replace the door handle, there is a piece for the trim piece to snap into blocking the screws. How do remove that piece?
For model number JVM3160RF2SS

Hi Sue, thank you for the question. Use a putty knife to pry out the left side of the door trim. Then, using a Phillips head screwdriver, unthread the mounting screws holding the door handle in place and remove the old handle. Install the new door handle by setting it on the door, screwing it into the mounting holes on the outside of the handle, and then replacing the door trim. We hope that helps!

Had to replace charcoal filter
Open the front cover by pushing it at the top (where it says “Push”), lifting up and pushing back on top edge of the old filter. Pull it out. Installing the new one is basically just the reverse of those steps! That simple.

Old filter did seem to be a little thicker (filter material), but the new one was the exact same dimensions, so it went in properly. Wish the filter material was white, so you knew just how dirty it was actually getting. But... :-D
