Ice maker wouldn't fill consistently
Replaced old dual outlet water valve with new design, which eliminates the (reportedly) troublesome "y" connector. A relatively simple matter of unplugging the refrig., turning off the water that feeds the ice maker and removing the cardboard/fabric service panel at the bottom rear of the refrig. Removed one screw with a nutdriver, disconnected the valve from both lines and out came the old valve with little fanfare. Next, as I replaced the valve with the new and improved version, cut out the "y" connector and used the supplied union and tubing to connect to the existing water line (just upstream from where the "y" connector was). Then, as my water/ice dispenser was sticking "on", I went ahead and replaced the rubber activator and internal switch. This just required moving a few hex screws on the front part of the dispenser to gain access to the parts. A relative snap and now all is working well.

Water dispenser and ice maker wouldn't work (bought the fridge u$ed)
I bought the following parts:
PS109042 Double Outlet Water Valve PS46363 Dual Outlet Water Valve Kit
When I bought the fridge, the part that PS109042 replaces was cracked and leaking water badly. When I ordered the replacement part, I got confused and ordered PS46363 by mistake. The original parts look similar even when side by side, but the replacement parts are revised drastically.
PS46363 is for the line that is between the water source and the water filter. The original lines from the filter are split (the original part has two inlets) and pipe to one inlet. You'll have to cut your hose right before it forks. The directions that come with the part are very straight-forward.
PS109042 actually distributes the filtered water to the water dispenser and icemaker. The old part had plastic fittings that held the water hosing to the part. The new part has no plastic fittings, yet holds the hosing to the part tightly. The directions that come with the part are very short and concise.
I also replaced the factory water filter with a Brita replacement (they are cheaper and I've used Brita filters before...they are solid).
All in all, I spent less than $100 on fixing a $500 used fridge that works as good as new. My wife was initially doubtful but fairly satisfied with the cost of the parts and the simplicity of installing them.

Water dispenser not working
First I unpluged the frigerator, then I turned off the water. Then I removed the the black cover from the bottom back of the frig. The valves are located on the bottom right. Unscrew the bracket that is holding the two valves. I then removed the bottom valve from the bracket, unplug the electrical connections, and connect to the new valve. To remove the water lines from the valves just move the white ring around on top of the valve and pull the line out and insert into the new one when ready. (the valves are the same colors) Do the same to the top valve, mount back to the bracket, then mount the bracket to the frig, hook up your water line to the valve, turn on the water and check for leaks, plug it in. Then put a glass under the water dispenser and try it out, it'll take a few seconds to get the water running through. PartSelect was very quick on getting me my parts, TWO days, couldn't believe it. Very good examples of parts on web page. Very satisfied and will use again.

Leaking water outlet valve
the repair was simple and I not inclined to do these things at all. I turned off the water supply line, unplugged the unit, unscrewed the outlet valve, removed the lines and inserted the new one. piece of cake

Leak from bottom of fridge
I removed the one sheet metal screw holding the valve to the side of the fridge. I unhooked the water line, reinstalled the waterline to the new valve and screwed in back to the side of the fridge with the sheet metal screw.

Valve leaking
The valve on the frig cracked when the frig was in freezing temps during a move. The part was slightly different than the picture on the parts website due to a design change that eliminated the Y in the water line created only one connection on the valve where there used to be two. I found this out reading on other websites. This design change also resulted in a part number change, but because this website had such good pics and views, I was able to determine the part was right. We received the part within 3 days and installation was easy. We eliminated the Y in the line and attached the fittings.

Wtaer leak at door supply or ice maker wouldn't due to lack of water
Pulled out frig and unplugged it from wall. Took out 2 screws to gain access to valves. Took out screw holding bracket holding valve bracket to frig and removed one more to remove the old valve from bracket. Simple water disconnect with wrench after that and changing the lines to door cutting them back 1/2 ", direct plug in electrical connections, replacement exact like original. I had previously changed the other solinoid with the problematic Y connector but that didn't do the trick. This fix seems to be the correct one to fix the problem.

Ice cube tray would no fill
Pulled out ref. removed 3 screws holding the fiber covering. Removed one screw holding the water inlet, disconected the elecrical and the water line from supply and the tubing going to the water filter. Then connected water lines and the electrical to new inlet, and attached the new inlet back with the one screw, reattached the fiber backing. All Done.
Note: ice cube tray did not fill immediately...air in water line??? However, after short time all works fine.
