Researched for the part numbers and found the parts needed. In this case the timer knob is made up of 3 separate pieces that easily snap together.
1, Unplug unit from power outlet. 2, Removed 3 screws on the top back control console, 3, pushed bottom section back (standing in front) and tip top section foward, console then will lay flat on top of the washer, 4, remove wire connector, 5, remove 1/4 " screw lower left side, 6, lift locking tap up and slide timer to the left. 7, Set new timer in place and reverse the procedure starting with step 6.
Ordered the part..... waited a few days fro it to arrive, (it came quite quick considering). Sat down in my easy chair and assembled the knob and gave it to my wife to slip it on the dryer. Whew, I was beat.... hehe
Removed clip that held timer knob in place, replaced timer know with new one and reinstalled clip. The snapped on the new cap. Took a whole minute to do.
Wow it was the easiest thing I have ever done.. I am NOT a DIY person.. Company wanted $108.00 to do, it cost me less than $20.00 and 2 minutes.. I have told everyone I know!!! Thanks

I pulled the dial off. Fit the three new parts together. I put in stem of the timer and turned the dryer on.Very easy, No tools required except a screw driver to pry the old knob off.
I only needed to remove the old knob and replace with the parts purchased. The hardest part was finding the part and once I found PartSelect that was easy. My wife figured we would never find the parts for this old driver. Thanks for the help.
Pulled the knob off and found that it had split. Went online and found the part required plus new grip and cover cap. Parts arrived in two days, snapped together and slid onto the pin.All fixed! Thanks!
Inserted Timer Knop Into Timer Dial Skirt and Attached Timer Knob Insert Cap, then I placeed the whole knob onto the timer of Dryer
