take the cabinet frame out first, take the pump off the motor assembly, take motor out, found the coupling is broken. replace the coupling, put back everything. That's all. Washer start to work immediately.

My dryer element was not heating and there did not appear to be any damage to the element itself. There were several thermal fuses attached to the heating element enclosure. Test them with a voltmeter and see if there is conductivity. If there isn't, then the fuse is faulty/broken. Replaced my broken fuse with 3390915 and the element heats once again. The original part was not the 3390915, but Kenmore recommends replacing the stock thermal fuses with 3390915. Thank you!

Watched the video on this sight. Fallowed instructions in video and everything went very smooth.

Unplugged, removed water supply hoses, removed drain hose from washer, laid whole washer on it`s back without removing the cabinet, popped clips off the water pump and laid to side, took two screws out of clips that hold motor on and popped them off with a screw driver, unplugged wiring harness and another single wire on motor and then lifted motor off. Then pried the plastic pieces of the coupling off the the motor and transmission shaft. Cleaned debris off motor and washer, replaced plastic piece to the transmission and set rubber part on plastic. Then replaced new plastic piece on motor and set motor back into bracket and put all parts back on in reverse order. I make it sound hard but was a easy job.

We thought it wiras the heating element and we ordered that part from.you but it did not fix the dryer. So we ordered the thermal kit and little less then 15 min. we had it fixed.

I removed the cap of the agitator assembly to reveal a seal cap. This was easily removed. The bolt holding the agitator assembly involved the only tool a 7/16th deep socket. With the bolt removed the entire agitator assembly came out of the drum. Separating the two pieces of the agitator assembly was easy due to a broken tab on the agitator cam assembly. As long as you pay attention to how the parts come apart assembly with the new part is easy. The cams will go into cam assembly two ways only one is correct. The next part was a little tricky. There is nothing to hold the cams in the assembly so I had to invert the top part of the agitator assembly put the cam assembly into the agitator then turned everything upright. With the cams in the assembly line up the two parts of the agitator and line up the post with the holes in the cam assembly. Push everything together until the post are fully seated in the cam assembly, it should click when seated. Install the assembled agitator into the drum and secure with the bolt. Make sure the seal on the bolt is good. Install the seal and the cap and your done. I estimate I saved about $100 with the help of Part Select. Thank you very much

Big problem was finding the part. Thanks to Part Select for that. The washer still works fine and pretty well looks like new but the lid had hit end-of-life. A little tricky because the screws hold the lid on had corroded from all the soap etc. and I was worried about them stripping. But all's well.

I followed the video on replacing the direct drive coupling. It was easy to follow and gave step by step instructions for screw locations, fastener and part removal and installation.

Order one new latch, receive 2 spares. Pushed new latch in, re oriented the catch. was done in less than 5 min

The spin cycle was super slow leaving clothes soaking wet at the end of a full wash cycle. Ordered a clutch repair kit, watched the how to video that was e-mailed to me with my order while I did the repair and got it done in about 45 minutes. This was my first true appliance repair outside of maybe a busted fuse or replacing the heating element in a stove. Never thought taking the motor, transmission and clutch out of the washer and putting all back together would be so very simple. Meanwhile my wife is pissed because she thought she might be able to go get a brand spankin new washer...until I fixed the old one. Thanks for saving me some dough PartSelect.

Followed website instructions, worked for a couple days, appears it needs clutch or possibly transmission(red oil present)

one thing that you do not need to do is to remove the pump from the motor, I tried to remove it as per the instructions but the pump cracked,remove both inlet and outlet hoses from the pump and remove the pump and motor together, don't try to take them apart, you don't need to, thanks

Did not know problem or how to access - thought the back came off washer. Typed in symptoms and it pretty much pinpointed the most likely cause. Watched video on how to take it apart (BTW the front and sides come off, NOT the back). Followed the guide, took motor off and sure enough one of the plastic couplers was cracked. Ordered from PartSelect and with regular shipping the cost was under $20 (ordered Tues. night, had it by Thurs.) Installed part - note as someone else said the new piece has metal inserts which make it really snug to go around the drive shaft, but the tip about using an oversized socket and some light taps to get it on worked liked a charm. Put it all back together (getting case back on was toughest part)and its been working fine for the last week - heavy & lite loads. Have to say was thinking the whole thing needed to be replaced (sound & age) but for $20 it was worth the shot...Glad i came here first!

It was actually much easier than I expected. The worst part was dealing with the gear oil as I drained it to clean out the plastic pieces that came off the gear. To see how to fix things like this, I went to Google, enter my model and what the problem was and watched a repairman do it. It seemed easy and it was.
