Frezzer kept freexing up, and auto defrost would not work. Fan running, compressor not turing on, fridge warm.
Removed all the food from the freezer. Removed 5 screws that hold the back cover on and removed the cover. Melted the build up of ice that was present on the coils and other components behind the cover. I was sure to keep a towel under the fridge as the drip tray was sure to over fill. With the fridge unplugged, cut the wires from the thermostat. On the wiring side, not the thermostat side, shorted the wires I just cut together and plugged in the fridge. The defrost heater turned on. This told me that it was indeed the termostat and not the timer. Replaced the thermostat and it has been runing ever since.
Removed the door by taking 3 screws out of the top and lifting straight up, then replaced with the new parts and very easily replaced the door, worked ike a charm, if i didn't know any better it was like factory new
The door made a loud noise on opening and closing.
Emptied the door. Removed the door, top bolts first. Lifted out the door. Installed new cam at the bottom. Set the door back in place. Bolted the top hinge back on. Smooth!
The part came quickly and was the right one. You can't imagine how many outfits lose it here. Well done and thanks.
Removed the top glass shelf to make slides easier to reach. Then simply removed the old tray and installed new one. You do have to watch for the small stops in the slides or you could damage new unit.
Removed top hinge cover and socketed out hinge nuts. Lifted door off bottom hinge. Socketed out broken bottom cam and replaced with new. Reset door with someone lifting and the other guiding. Reattached top hinge and cover. Voila.
Took the old one out. Washed the new one and put it in. The best part was: This company had the part in stock and we received it the next day. Amazingly fast service. Thank you very much.
