WRS23MW3AWS Crosley Refrigerator - Instructions

I thought this was going to be such a chore to find this part, but it wasn't. I went to partselect.com, found the piece I needed, paid for it and was done in 10 minutes. Partselect.com made searching for the piece I needed incredibly easy to find and order. I received the part on time an put the bin in place in five seconds. I will always go back to partselect.com to find my products.

Removed upper and lower screw covers. Removed 4 screws , Removed broken handle. Installed new handle with th 4 screws provided. Replaced screw covers. Done!

I followed a video I found on how to take the front off of the ice dispenser ( to me the hardest part) Once I was in there it was a matter of removing the pin and spring,then putting the new flapper in place of the old. Hardest part in reassembling was getting the spring back where it belongs. After that it was a matter of putting the ice dispenser back together and testing. Works perfectly.

I watched a "how to repair" video on PartSelect. Everything went just as described until I realized that the actuator I was replacing had two tiny lights with wires attached. Perhaps I ordered the wrong part but it looked like the part I ordered would still fit but just not have the lights. I really didn't think it was necessary to have lights so I used scissors and clipped the wires so I could remove the old actuator. Then I continued to follow the directions in the video and now I have a perfectly functioning water dispenser. My husband was so proud of me! One additional tip- I found it was helpful to use a flashlight so I could see really well.

Remove 4 screws to get the housing cover off. Remove the lock ring that holds the ice auger in place. REmove 4 screws to get the crusher housing off. Reverse the order to replace the housing. Very simple.

Had a little trouble getting old pin out of support bracket finally used screwdriver and broke plastic so I could get to the pin and used needle nose pliers to remove hanger then came right out putting new one in was a snap slid in tapped pin in and installed new crisper bracket took about 15to 20 minutes to complete.Contribute difficulty in removing pin to age of refrigerator had been in place for at least 5 years maybe longer overall experience not bad.I am 75 would probably been easier for a younger man more flexible.

Pulled fridge away from wall and unplugged. Turned off main water supply feed and removed fitting from water inlet valve. Took off back panel by removing 3 screws. Took out 2 screws holding valve to fridge. Pulled off color coded wire clips. Unscrewed each water tube connector. New valve had quick connectors so had to snip off flared ends of tubing with utility knife. Pushed tubing firmly into new valve fittings and pulled to ensure connection. Reattached wiring and reattached valve to fridge with the 2 screws. Reconnected water feed line and turned on main water feed. Checked for leaks before replacing back panel. Done. No more dripping from water dispenser.

It went okay. My husband did the job and he is handy. We both watched the little "How to" video and that was very helpful.

Had to pry the old one from the cabinet. Had to work remaining piece evenly as to not crack the cabinet of the fridge. Not the best design on Frigidaire's part but it was fixable. Thanks for stocking every part under the sun.

Realized Ice Maker was not getting water during it's cycle and suspected water valve based on other posts to this web site. My fridge is 9 years old and the tubes connecting the valve were plastic screw on type. The new valve did not have threads to accept the nuts. Turns out all I had to do was cut the nuts off and insert the water tubes into the valve which auto-locked the tubes to the valve. Ice maker now works great.

Pulled out the fridge from the wall, unplugged it, and turned off the water supply. Took off the cardboard backing at the bottom of the fridge. Cleaned the dust and gunk. Unscrewed the old valve. Unplugged the 3 electrical connections. Since the new fittings for the water lines were different, we unscrewed the old ones, lopped off the nipples, and inserted the ends of the water lines into the new connections (they were super easy - just push the line in until it clicks). Reattached the valve. Reattached the cardboard. Turned water back on, and plugged in the fridge. Our ice maker still didn't make cubes, though. So I took out the fill valve from the top rear of the fridge. It had a tiny piece of ice lodged in the bend of the back, right above where it connected to the water line. I rinsed it out, reinstalled, and now we have a full bucket of ice!!

problem still persists part did not fix problem. made repairs recommended per your site.

Turned off the water supply ,pulled the plug removed two screws to access theater lines the new valve body was a little different than the original I had to cut off the end of each hose and push them in to the new connections the hoses are size and color coded replaced the two screws put the water line on plugged it in and turned on the water checked for leaks twice and replaced the back cover
