SVD48600PC Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

Disconnected power pulled oven from wall, removed 8 screws from back, unplugged sensor, removed old, attached new, put screws back wow saved me $500. From buying new and $150. For service call

I watched the video on how to change the oven sensor, which helped me change both the bake element and the sensor. Had a little trouble pulling the sensor plug apart so had help with someone else holding half of it with pliers while I pulled it apart. (It is in an awkward place in the oven and I didn't know how to take the oven door off.) The bake element was a breeze. Had to use tweezers to grab one of the connectors that sneaked back into the insulation. Saved a ton of money. Would have cost more just to have the repairman come--not including parts. Thanks!!!

I lifted the grill off; took the old grease filter out and threw it away; placed the new filter in the well; put the grill back on. Wallah!!! just like new.

Do not remove any hinge screws/parts. Pull the lower skirt off the oven so you can get to the bottom of the door. Remove the upper and lower plastic trim on the door - screws are on the very top and very bottom of the door. Do the upper screws first, but be careful. The front door glass comes off after the upper plastic trim. Then close the door again and do the lower plastic trim. Once the front glass and plastic trim are off, unscrew the 'frame' around the window. Once the frame is off, there are four nuts that hold the inner door glass frame on. Remove the nuts, and pull out the glass frame/panels. The frame is wrapped around the glass. One corner has a bent tab - straighten the tab to pull off the frame, insert new piece of glass. Revers steps for reassembly.

The hardest part was deciding if this part would fix the problem. The upper oven became unusable. Both elements worked fine until reaching temperature. The oven would not come back on after that. I took two screws out. Then I pulled the wires out and unsnapped the coupling. The install was reverse. I just snapped the coupling in place and replaced the two screws. All works fine now. Saved a couple thousand as wife was prepared to buy a new one.

throw the old one in the garbage, drop in the new one. It is about 3/4" narrower than the one that came with the stove but still covers the down vent adequately

Removed old filter, dropped in new filter. A breeze! What was best of all, is that Parts Select shipped the filter immediately and it arrived within just a day or so! Well done!

The issue: the burners were abused by the previous tenant, the burnt grease was clearly visible. They would hardly ignite and the smell of gas was always present.The remedy: new burners. They were hard to find, I was not completely sure about to stove model (it could be quite a search to find the right ones). There is a front burner and a back one. I was not sure from the diagram about the back one, so I called Partselect and someone answered the call right-away. The burners arrived a few days later, and they were the correct ones. The burners are not Jenn-air specific, it looks like several brand names use the same ones. The installation was extremely easy, a few hex screws. The stove is like new. I highly recommend Partselect.

The new replacement grease filter came without damage and it was a simple task of removing the old and setting the new in it's place. No tools were required.

Took two screws out of each burner and put new burners in and replaced the screws. A real piece of cake. and they work great. Did not even have to adjust the flames. They were all solid blue and perfect. Bill

Very simple project. Had no clue it was so easy! To test how easy it is, remove the left side grill parts, move the grill parts from the right to the left! I had no idea there was a micro switch in the cooktop to change the fan operation! Parts arrived quickly. Only received one grate of the set, this was quickly fixed by Parts Select Customer service! We only used the grill once, made such a mess! Why did I wait so long to do this! (Over thirteen years!)

Removed two screws holding oven sensor in place. Haad to remove part of the back to access wires. Found existing wires had burnt up, and had to reterminate same. Installed new sensor, making sure the leads did not come in contact with the rear of oven compartment. (This may have been what caused failure to begin with)

The "PartsSelect" General discription of the parts funtion helped me to confirm my suspitions that there was some form of temperature registering problem. I whatched the short video they provided on how to change the part out, even though, in this case, it's pretty self explanitory.The part was in my hands a day erlier than promised and in reality, much earlier than I had anticipated from the beginng. It took me all total, 20 minutes to exchange the part out and have the oven in operation again.
