PSS25SGNABS General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

The repair was simple really. Merely a replacement part. After disconnecting the ribbon cables and removing old panel all that was left was to reconnect all 3 ribbon cables and the ground and put the cover back on. Simple even for a girl :-)

This is a very easy repair. The hardest part was pushing the fridge in and out and having to clean back there!!. Before starting anything, I unplugged the fridge from the wall outlet. I removed 4 nut-drive screws holding the circuit board cover to the back of the fridge. Once the circuit board was exposed, I first compared the current board with the new one to make sure the connections were the same. I did have to use the already existing ground wire (green wire) for the circuit board as the new one provided with the new board had the wrong connectors. I then marked each wire harness from left to right, top to bottom, so I knew what order they were to be reconnected. I then disconnected the 5 wiring harnesses. The hardest part of the repair was removing the board itself. There are 4 plastic connectors holding the board in place. I tried to squeeze them with the pliers, but the board would not come off. I then watched the online video and realized I was squeezing the connectors wrong. After changing how I was squeezing the connectors, the board came out very easily. It was very easy then to snap the new board into place, reconnect the wires, and plug in the fridge. I did test everything before replacing the cover just in case I needed to reconnect something, etc. All in all, this repair took maybe 30 minutes, but that included time to gather the tools, pull out the fridge, clean behind the fridge, replace the board, test the system, and push the fridge back into place. Very Easy

Noticed the interior wall hot to the touch when opening cooler or freezer door (side by side). pulled lower panel off in rear of unit and noticed fan motor not working. Ordered new fan motor, installed , still did not work. used volt meter to test for power from main control panel to motor. No power present. Ordered main control panel board and installed. Fixed problem. It ran excellant for about an hour and then the control panel shorted out the main control panel and motor that had just been purchased. Both were replaced at no additional charge by Customer Service. Second installation was a success. Sometimes bad things happen to an already bad situation. It's nice to have the understanding, support and service offered by Parts Select. I guess that's why I use them every time there is a problem. G E is easy to repair as long as you use patience and determination.

Followed the instruction in the video and the job was done in 15 min. BE SURE TO DEFROST THE ICE MAKER BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO TAKE IT APART. If you don't, there is a chance that the plastic will crack or worse.

I followed the instructions in your video (pretty cool). I did have problems removing the escutcheon as your video directed. My refrigerator is different. I found three small holes at the bottom of the instrument panel. I used a small Allen (hex) wrench to pop the retaining clips out of the holes and the instrument panel could then be removed. I didn't have to remove the escutcheon at all. Everything else went as your video showed. Ice maker works great now.

I watched the video provided by PartSelect.com a few times to familiarize myself with the steps of the auger replacement, which made installation much easier than attempting it blindly. PartSelect saved me $100 based on the price of a new replacement ice bucket!

about an hour to figure out what was causing the vibration and noise and about an hour to put it back together and 5 min. to order a new fan blade thank you.It started making noise during thanksgiving dinner so we toke it apart after dinner and I cut the other 2 blade to match the broken one so to cut down on the noise and vibration semi put it back together and 7 days later the part arrived.

According to PartSelect website, the probably cause was Temperature Sensor or Defrost Thermostat. I watched the replacement videos. . .. very nice and seemed easy. Ordered the parts and got within 3 days (nice!). I followed the procedure on the video for disassembly, I used a hair dryer to melt the ice buildup on coils and then cut the old Sensor and Thermostat out of the wire harness and, instead of using crimper to seal my new splices, I soldered them instead. I used shrink wrap sleeves, then wrapped in electrical tape for permanent insulation. My Fridge now functions like new again.Thanks Partselect! You are the best!

Pulled out the refrigerator, removed the bottom panel cover to expose motherboard panel. Removed mother board panel, followed instuctions on YouTube to replace the motherboard: I plugged the fridge in after the motherboard was installed and the compressor fired up and everything was working again.

1, Removed back plate in freezer.2. Replaced heater by pulling out electric wire plug and removing two screws holding heater at bottom of coils. 3. Replaced Defrost thermostat & temperature sensor per instructions found online. Unit now working fine. Thank you for your quick delivery. John

Checked to make sure it wasn't a plumbing problem. Then made aide sure the filter wasn't plugged. Then went to Parts Direct's web site. According to their information, the most likely problem was the duel inlet water valve. I followed to video instructions provided on the web site...finished the job in less than 15 minutes...and solved the problem. I will certainly be using your service in the future!

My son used your video. Said it was easy but couldnt have done it without the video.
