the outer heating element didn't work
verified that the heating element was at fault by measuring it with ohmmeter. There are 3 contacts on the outside of the element. Resistance between center contact and either outside contact should read something close to 0 ohm, if it is good, and if it is burned, it will read open circuit (infinite resistance). Wanted to make sure that this is not the switch, which I replaced a few months ago. Before I disconnected all the connectors from the element I made picture of all the connections, just in case I forgot what gets connected to what (didn't use it, though). Installing the new element was very easy. Most work is done getting access to the element. Repair went smoothly, range works fine, now.

Glass top stove burner not working
OMG you have no idea how grateful I am. My husband and I watched your how-to-video and decided that it looked pretty easy for us to replace on our own. We saved close to $200 between the flat fee for a service call plus labor. Thank you very much. We were also pleased how fast our part was shipped to us.

replaced lower element
Shut off power at breaker box. Removed the door of the oven. It just lifts straight up. Removed 2 screws where the coil enters the back wall of the oven. Slowly pull the coil out and the wires will come with the coil. There is enough wire to pull the coil out a good 6 inches. You can then pull the connectors off the old coil and attach them to the new. Fish the wires back into the holes they came out of then line up the screw holes in the coil and tighten them up. Slip the door back on and restore the power.

Oven wasn't heating
It was really easy to replace the element. Remove two screws that holds in the element and pull it out about 3 inches. Remove the two wires and put in the new element. Plug in the 2 wires and screw it back in. It took about 10 minutes and the oven works great now!

Top oven sensor
The oven did not auto clean. Problem was the sensor stopped working. Tried to repair from the front but could not get the connector through the hole. Removed the rear panel and found the connector had melted. Could not find a new wireing harnes on line, so I cut the wires on the stove and the new sensor coupling. Spliced the wires togather. The oven cooks fine, I have not tried the cleaning cycle yet.

Lower unit heating element burned out.
Extremely easy replacement. Followed the instructions and suggestions from previous users which was emphasized about turning off electricity. Main difficulty was that we are not young people, had to reach on knees and stretch to back of oven. Put hot pads under knees for comfort !!!!!!
