Door catch broken
Push new catch in the opening, close the door and VOILA! the door stays closed. Please note that the cost of this part is exorbitant- it's worth about 50 cents but with shipping it cost about $11.00. Check your local hardware store first.

Male door latch would no longer catch.
After ordering the part, I read the information left by other users. I used a screw driver to pop out the piece, and then put the new latch in the opening. A gentle pop with the side of my hand, and the door latch went right into place. Who knew there was a second door latch on the other side that could've been used?

dryer would not start; motor seized (after 30 years of use)
I followed the general instructions as to the disassembly of the dryer, taking the front off first. I opened the pannel in the back to release the tension on the belt. A complete schematic showing part names and sensor names; screws to be removed/re-installed and location as well as size; location of seals and the need when reassembling to be secure before mating parts/joining. Motor requires the use of either a special tool to remove the clamps or the use of a large screwdriver to 'push down' clamp (s) while prying with another screwdrive to release the clamp ---the only difficult part of this disassembly. Motor, for my moded has two yellow wires and kit did not come with a connector of the size to fit the motor (trip to the hardware store) since two connections are required at the motor terminal at the yellow terminal and they are diferent. Kit should contain both sizes for the yellow terminals. Advice on how to remove the motor clips would have been helpful. I cleaned all of the passageways as well as the interior of the cabinent, to 'near-new' condition.

Dryer was thumping loudly on start up and drum sounded off balance
Your videos which are absolutely great. We watched the video for the Blower Wheel and Front Glide Kit and replaced both to fix the problem. This is a sturdy 30 year old dryer and is now good for another 20! Thank you so much for your website and parts.

Dryer squealed & thumped and thermostat didn't heat clothes
Removed the front screws below dryer door panel; lift up the entire front of the dryer. Set door aside, disconnect the wires from the door. Took a pic. so I'd remember where yellow and white wires were located Using a forehead flashlight freed up my hands for easy repair. Identify the thermostat that needed replaced, removed 2 wires and 2 screws that secured it to the barrel. Jot down or take a pic. of where the wires belong. Replace thermostat, reconnect screws and wires. Job one done.Took 15 minutes. Next job entailed replacing the drum roller and shaft. With the front panel off, you'll find 4 screws that support the tumbler barrel. Remove the screws, remove tumbler support. On the back of the dryer is an entry where the belt runs through. You need to release the belt from its pulley. Once removed, go back to the front of the dryer. Push the belt out of the way so you can pull out the barrel (roller). Make certain you remember (take a pic.) of how the belt was threaded. Once this is done, pull out the tumbling barrel and locate the 2 wheels that need to be replaced. This is easy. Remove the bolt from behind the shaft, take the clip off the front of the old wheel and insert new shaft and wheel. Repeat for the second roller and roller shaft. One is a little more difficult to access than the other. Once completed, put barrel back into the front of the dryer. Reconnect the dryer belt. I found it helpful to have a second person nearby so as to turn the barrel for me so I could get things centered. Make certain the flat side of belt is on the barrel. Otherwise, belt will break. Put drum support back on, connect with the 4 screws. Reconnect yellow and white wires on front panel. Put panel in place and you're good to go. The belt was what took the longest for me as it needed to be put in the proper position. Dryer works like it's brand new now!

No heat
An underwire from a bra shorted the element out. After unplugging the dryer i removed 4 screws from the front (accessed with the door open). Gently closed the door and popped the front off. I did a continuity test on the 2 spade connectors at the end of the element. No continuity= bad element. Keep track of where the wires go before disconnecting them. Remove the 2 mounting screws with a 1/4" nut driver and remove the element. Piece of cake!

Unusual Rumbling Noise. Noise worse on start-up
Followed video instructions which were very good. Drum support rollers were not bad, but I replaced them anyway. Noise turned out to be from the blower wheel, which I replaced also. After diagnostic test of blower wheel without drum turning, I forgot to unplug the dryer or shut off the dryer circuit breaker. Shorted useless thermostat cover to hot thermostat lug and burned up some dryer wiring, which I subsequently rewired and replaced damaged hi-limit thermal fuse. Also replaced badly worn tumbler and motor belt. Dryer works like new now. (Throw away the marginally useful thermostat cover which is behind the front panel anyway and don't forget electrical isolation safety)

shieking noise when starting dryer, took longer and longer for the noise to stop
Follow the video instructions, get a mental picture of the routing of the belt because you'll be working blind. Wear long sleeves when putting belt on pulleys unless you want your arms to look like you've had a fight with a cat! Lubricate the tumbler rollers and idler pulley. An electric dryer is a very simple machine that should last a long time. Mine was 20+ years old when the belt went south.

4.6. turn shaft and feel for play in motor bearings or spots of catching (hopefully there is none, if motor turns really hard or not at all, has more than 1/16” of play, or keeps catching on something internally, you may want to start looking for another dryer/or motor depending on prices)
4.7. install new fan blade/wheel (with blades facing correct way
4.8. clip snap ring on shaft and manually test fan for smooth turning and no wobble.

6.3. (hopefully with one person hold tumbler in position) install mounting bracket

6.5. from rear of machine place drive belt back on take-up and drive (be sure groves of belt are facing into the take-up pulley which is also grooved) and turn tumbler again. Should have a little resistance now
6.6. put top of dryer back and screw together
