I got really tired of taking food out covered in icicles and stabbing a huge block of ice out of the bottom. Turns out all he needed was a little wheel with cogs and I looked up the sticker model number on this site and clicked the part of the fridge. So simple, wish I would’ve done it sooner.
The toughest part was pulling the refrigerator from the wall....After removing the back-bottom access panel the compressor is right there with the Start-Dev and Cap..Took a few min to remove and install new parts....Very Simple and works great...no more clicking..
Replaced the left side endcap for the drawer. Three screws and it popped out. Easy process once I actually looked at it. Drawer cover now works as designed. Replaced inline water filter. Not problem there.
Repair was simple and just as described by several others on this site! From finding the part, ordering, quick shipping and instructions, PartsSelect made this job a breeze to complete.
Removed two screws on outer face plate and set aside the face plate after disconnecting from power supply. Remove dispenser paddle which had broken and replaced with new part. Reattached power connections and reattached the face plate. Relatively easy process.
Once the part arrived, which was very quickly BTW..all I had to do was remove the old filter and then just screw the new one into place....Now I just happen to be both female and blonde but was able to get the job done in less than 15 minutes (that includes opening the box) and with very little water dripping from the old filter!!! Looks like I could work as the Maytag repair woman soon!!
I unpacked the glass and slipped it into the shelf. Done. What was more impressive was the delivery time. I ordered the glass at about 12:30pm one day and the glass was at my door by 9am the next morning. Even my husband was impressed with that.
The window for the door to the deli drawer popped out after something fell on it.
I had to replace the entire door because the plastic tabs holding the window in place snapped off. I just opened the door to see how it was held in place, released the old door and installed the new one. Job complete in less than a minute.
The pin on the right side of the Deli Drawer full width door broke off
I removed the Deli Drawersvegatable and fruit drawers. Removed the glass panel. Removed the screws holding the Endcap and snapped the old one out. A back panel strip that controls the humidity snapped out. I installed the back panel to the new endcap. Installed the new endcap snapping it in place and used the screws to keep it in place. It was not difficult and everything fit perfectly. The only thing it takes is a little understanding as to how it all fits together. It took about 20 minutes.
The coating on the mold /heater unit as cracked and some broken off and cause the water to drip down in the Ice trace and form large icicles
I just removed the unit and replaced the mold/'heater with the new one and re-installed. It was very easy and didn't have to turn off the refer. or empty the frozen food. However , there were not instruction that came with the mold/heater unit. I had no problem but other do-in-uselfers may need some basic instructons Jim
It was very easy. I removed the two crisper drawers and the glass shelf above the pantry section. I removed two bolts with a nut driver and one screw from the slide track. I pulled out the broken piece and did that all in reverse. Took 5 mins tops.
Also I wanted to say I got my replacement part in two days with standard shipping.
I broke the pin that holds the lid that covers pantry at the bottom of the fridg.
I removed the drawers above and the glass shelf, then removedthe screws to remove the broken end cap then reversed the proceedure to install the new part. Was simple to do and it works fine.
