theclips holding the top rack were broken
the repair was so easy. I called my local maytag repair man and they want 85.00 dollars for the call and 6.00 a piece for the parts. well really. so i thought how hard could it be? I ordered the parts from Part select and fixed it myself. it took a whopping 5 minutes, 1) un snap the clips at the end of the sliding metal bars and slide out the top rack and remove it.2) take old parts off slide bars by unsnapping them and pulling them off replace them with the snapped together new parts each part has 2 pieces and they will slide one in the designated place there are 2 on each side3) Replace the upper rack swing the clips to secure the rack and then replace the plastic pieces at the ends of the metal bars. Saved 88.00 bucks took me 5 minutes .

Water Leaking from pump hose
We discovered water leaking from the underside of the dishwasher. A closer inspection revealed that a pinhole had opened up in the rubber coupling at the bottom of the top shower pump hose. This piece is permanently attached to the pump hose, so you have to replace the whole thing. Repairing the dishwasher was an easy and straightforward affair as many other reviewers have described. The biggest difference between my experience and others was the presence of a cloth-like covering over the entire tub of the dishwasher. I assume this was either a thermal or sound insulation of some kind. To access the shower pump hose, it was necessary to remove the covering just enough to reach everything. The cover was held in place by some flexible black plastic pins. All that was needed was to work these back and forth until they slipped out of the underlying metal structure. Once I had the insulation pulled back it was a few quick minutes and the dishwasher was up and running.

Rollers were not staying on
Some of the dish rack rollers (part# 99002183) lost their retaining tabs and kept coming off. The top rack would come off the track. The new rollers just snapped in place. The end stops of the tracks need to be unclipped by pushing in the direction of the small arrow molded onto them. Then the tracks can be slid into the newly installed rollers, and the stops reinstalled. One issue I had is that this is the second set of rollers. The first replacements I ordered were from Sears Parts Direct. The Sears rollers appear to be an exact match but do not snap and secure into place. The tabs did not engage the groove of the axel. It appears that the replacement part has a slightly larger inside diameter than the original. So from my experience here, it seems the Sears supplier is making these wheels a bit out of spec. The Parts Select replacement fit perfectly.

bottom dishwasher rack rusted through in places
removed old rack and inserted new one - it slid right in - no tools needed - The most remarkable thing about this whole process was the speed with which we received the replacement part. I ordered it in the late afternoon on a Friday, and it was delivered the next morning. Great service!

Bottom dish holder posts had rusted and were breaking off.
Appliance is at least 14 years old. All we had to do was put rollers on and place it in the dishwasher! The other great thing about PartSelect is that it ships same day...we had the part two days later. We will order from you again if any parts are needed! Thanks.

Leaking dishwasher
Remove old seals. Very easy. Install new seals. Bottom door seal just "snaps" in place, but be sure it is correctly positioned. There is a right and wrong way to install it. Door perimeter seal requires a little more work to be sure that the seal retention strip is properly seated in the retention groove of the seal holder, but still very easy to do. No leaks on first test run. Very satisfied with the parts.
