ice maker was over filling and causing water to flow into ice dispenser and freezing it al together
First turned off the water and unplugged the refrigerator and then removed the old ice maker by first removing the side cover plate and then next removed the ice level detector. Remove the screws that hold the ice maker in place and rotating it somewhat soas to gain access to the wires and then unplugged them. Next I had to modify the way the water comes into the new icemaker by adapting a CPVC street ell to fit into the hole on the side and then hook up the water supply. Installation is just the reverse of removal.
Ice cubes in bin frozen into big lumps due to water leaking into bin from icemaker. Lining of icemaker cube tray worn and damaged allowing leak.
Pull refrigerator out from wall to shut off water and power. Remove ice bin, pulling front down then out. Remove screw at bottom of icemaker, then pull down to release two clips, Pull out a couple inches to get hand behind icemaker to release wiring harness connector. (squeeze top and bottom to release clips). Remove unit. Remove wiring harness and wire bail from old unit and install on new unit. Reverse steps to install new unit. Make sure ice bin is fully inserted, or unit will not function.
inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out. then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.
I got the part. The water connectors were different from the factory model. I thought to myself this will never work and it's going to leak everywhere. I push the water lines into the new water tank and not one leak!!! I now know why it was different, different is a lot better!! Thanks for the great Part, at the cheapest price.
Refrigerator quit cooling and the freezer wasn't freezing anything
Order the part from the Internet on Sunday, it mailed out on Monday and I received it on Tuesday. I unplugged the fan then undone 3 screws that held the fan bracket to the refrigerator pulled it out unscrewed 3 more nuts and replaced the fan on the bracket and I cut the old wire plug off the old fan and with 2 wire nuts put it on my new fan. Replaced the fan and bracket back on the refrigerator plugged it in and it works like a new refrigerator.
Light switch wasn't working.. As I would close the door I would notice our frig light wasn't going off...
I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull the connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!
took old socket out, ordered replacement part, dual socket no longer available. Turn off power to appliance, attach new single light socket, screw light socket and light socket holder back into place. Turned on power and it worked. No instructions included in packet, attached wrong first time, blew fuse, attached socket a different way, and it worked.
Spoke to Rep.Advised that several parts might be involved. Replaced 3 recommended parts and frig works like brand new. Saved hundreds of dollars in repairman costs.l. Plus $1000.00 for cost of new frig. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time? Easy fix. Very skilled Rep's!! Excellent service!! Great prices!! Highly recommend!!
The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!
After empting the shelves I unscrewed the water lines that go to and from the the water tank. I then unscrewed the three screws that holds the water tank to the back wall of the refrig. then unscrewed the two water lines located at the bottom of the water tank. I then installed the new water tank by screwing the water lines on to the new tank then screw the water tank back on to the back wall. Turned the water back on and it took a minute or two to bleed the air out of the water tank and water lines. It now works great
Ice maker flaked and leaked leaving big glob of ice
Unplug wire harness back of fridge. Unscrewed 4 screws on guide for ice bin. then unscrewed two screws holding ice maker to wall of fridge. removed ice maker. then had to take front cover off (pull hard, it comes off) and remove wire harness plug from the ice maker. save this, front cover, and all hardware to re-use. reverse steps to reinstall, including wire guide that goes up and down to stop and start ice maker when bin fills. Have to put this into front part of ice maker correctly for it to work. make sure it is down so that it will produce ice. ice tray took a few hours to fill with water initially, must be on a timer or something.
took nut driver and removed screw holding valve to refrigerator removed valve. Swapped water lines from old valve to new valve, plugged in selonoid wire harness to new valve reattached the water valve to referigerator and turned water on and forgot it. No leaks, ice and water in 24 hrs.
