FDB1050REM2 Frigidaire Dishwasher - Instructions

Open dishwasher door. Using phillips screwdriver, remove the lower two screws, this allows the outside pannel to come off and expose the Dispenser's back side. Remove the two electric wires remembering where they go, ie: white inside red outside. Remove the six screws holding Dispenser in place. Push Dispenser through to inside. Put new Dispenser in and reverse proceedure. This was actually easier than I expected. A novice can handle this repair. Good luck. Oh, when putting Dispenser screws back in, start them all first before tightening.

I ordered a new upper spray arm which arrived 2 days later with standard shipping. The old arm unclips by squeezing the two plastic clips--the arm falls right out. Then you unscrew the big plastic nut holding to its shaft. Put the new one on the shaft, screw the not back on--hand tight only--and push the whole thing back up into the two clips--done! The whole thing was done in less than one minute!

Pull out old slowly insert new. Done.

Remove bottom door gasket and install new gasket in reverse order, take out door gasket and install new gasket into groove, start at one end and work to other end then cut to fit. No leaks until a week later, door may not have been closed firmly.

I ordered the detergent dispenser and was told it would take about 5 days to get it. I received it in 2 days. I first flipped the breaker switch to the dishwasher to avoid pulling it out to pull the plug. Opening the door to access the inside and removed the 2 lower screws on the side. This let the front panel be slid down and removed. I removed the 2 wires to the dispenser module. A flat-head screwdriver helped to loosen them. I then removed the 6 screws to remove the module. I reversed the process to install the new one.

Open the door. Removed the six screws at the top of the Door, inside. Took the top poration of the door off unpluging the control first. Took a butter knife where the tabs were and placed it between the tabs. very carefuly applying some preasure on it and the controll board. then pulled the board out of its cradle

Removed the old rack, removed the spinning center thing from the old rack, put it on the new rack - and presto.

The replacement basket fit perfectly.

after replacing the water inlet valve the water still did not go into dishwasher so i hired a repairman to trouble shoot the promblem(the best $35.00 i could have spent) he told what was wrong and i ordered the part and installed it my self,the installation was easy.

It's as easy as everyone said. Only problem I had was that since the seal is now used on several models, I had to trim about an eighth of an inch off the left side to keep it from hitting the door seal. No more leaks and saved probably $100.00 plus on a repair visit. The seal probably wore out because of using to much Cascade!

We had a leak around the bottom of the dishwasher door. After finding this site, I identified the part that I needed, the bottom gasket. I was ready to take all the screws out of the door to pull out the old gasket until I read the reviews and repair experiences here. Just have to grasp the old gasket with pliers to pull it out, straight down. I cleaned out the slot with a thin putty knife, just to make sure it didn't have any gunk left in it. Then simply slide the new gasket back in place. The only "trick" is to be careful lining up the slot on the right side, to make sure it seats all the way down. Like someone else already mentioned, there is no "click" to indicate it is all the way in, just a feeling of snugness. Closed it up and made a test run of the dishwasher, and, Voila! No more leak. A hell of a lot cheaper and faster than waiting for a repairman. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I received my part within 24 hrs of ordering it too!

Took cover off door, unbolted hinges from door assembly, rotated door assembly to access inside bottom of door...took out old splash guard and installed new one. Reverse order to reassmble unit. Tested...no leaks.

just buy a new one but being old, disabled and living off SS I had NO
money!! I dont do much on computer but just goggled. I found your
store and my answer was there. Your site is so good even I found what
I was needing. With your video I was able to do it myself. Oh by the
way I would have paid 65$ for them to look at it, and I assure you
they would not have let in cost me the 14$ I paid you for the part....

I started to disassemble the machine from the inside, and discovered that I should have started from the bottom...At least now I know how to get to all the parts...I had to remove a couple of parts to get to the problem. Because the replacement part was slightly different than the original, It took some rearranging to get the hoses and wires to connect(original was mounted at 45 degree angle, replacement at 90)
