ASD2522VRW00 Amana Refrigerator - Instructions

Took the old one out and put in new one in reverse order !! Replaced vegetables then slide pan in and shut refrigerator door !! EASY !!

Replaced the Ice Bin Auger,I ordered from PartSelect,which had much thicker housing and fins than the original .You remove the clip from the end of the shaft and a nylon nut which is a left hand which is opposite threads from most nuts.Its a good idea to take a picture of how the blades and spacers are ,because if not put back in the same direction their will be no crushed ice.It now works better and quiter than when it was new.

I took the ice maker out to check things when it wasn't working and I noticed what wasn't visible with the maker installed. The input hose was filled with ice. An ice pick didn't really work so I filled an empty Windex bottle with hot water and sprayed the ice until it was gone. I installed the ice maker again and it's working well.

I replaced the filter inlet tube with this filter inlet tube because the refrigerator looked the same and I thought it would therefore be approximately correct. It was except for the connection to the copper tube feeding into the plastic tube. The fitting was not compatible and needed to be cut off and replaced with a new ferule and fitting purchased from a local hardware store for about two or three dollars.

Replaced the drawer with a new replacement.

repaired the broken parts, with packing tape.

Followed the included installation link from this site
No difficulty.

We followed the video and everything went perfectly! Our dispenser is happily dispensing crushed and cube ice.

Replaced it. It snapped right in .

1. Unpack carefully so you don't drop it
2. Remove the stickers on the glass
3. Wipe it clean
4. Place on shelf

Remove drawer then shelf removed sliders both sides installed new slides / remove door shelves empty butter tray remove upper hinge remove door remove lower hinge replace cam clean area reassemble

Replaced the supply line following the directions supplied by the video that was provided with the part order. I could not have done it as well an in the short amount of time required without the aid of the video. I would not have known that the water filter housing/unit had to be removed to facilitate the repair.

I looked up the video on part select for how to replace the filter housing. Seeing it was fairly easy, I order the parts, which arrived promptly. Then, once I had some free time, I uninstalled the old housing and installed the new one. Following the video made it easy.
