Burner injet replacement
I needed a right front burner injet which is no longer made. On my cooktop I was able to move the left burner to the right and then ordered the left. Very easy to replace.
Got ignitor and it did not have wire attached as shown in the picture of parts. However, all I did was take burner cap off, and gently life ignitor up and out, detach the wire, attach new ignitor to wire and reset.
some of electrodes not working at times, found were bad, wires had some insulation missing, clips looked burnt, found all new parts replaced
the electrodes on this model have to be removed before you can raise cooktop, once cooktop is raised remove wire from burner bracket, use needle nose pliers to squeeze bottom of clip, remove &replace with new parts.
First remove the screws around the inside perimeter of the door. These require a special hex driver. Take off the inside plastic liner of door. Peal off the old Insulation Foam Strip and replace it with the new strip in the same location. Make sure the wires are off to the right side. Replace the door plastic liner. Done. The Insulation Foam Strip really acts more like a loose gasket to keep spashing from creeping under the door and drippin out on the floor.
I ordered the spark module and replaced it which was veru simple, plugged it in and it sparked only now and again. I finally said forget it and it has now stopped sparking but for how long I do not know.
I used a hex wrench to remove the 8 screws ( 2 on each burner ), pulled up the knobs, and lifted the ceramic top. use pliers to disconnect the spark plugs. I disconnected the switch harness from the igniter, disconnect the igniter wires remembering the color scheme. My igniter had a minor variance from the old one which an acompanying map clarified. I installed the new switch harness and the new igniter, made the igniter connections according to the color scheme and the accompanying diagram, replaced the ceramic top, pulled spark wires thru, installed the burners and the spark plugs, tightened the 8 screws, and tested the burners.
