Lower heating element not working
I removed the two screws that held in the old part. I pulled the element out a few inches.I disconnected two wires from the old element and connected it to the new. Using the screws provided I reconnected the unit. All went well. No need for repairman. 1
removed 10 screws on the outer door assembly, removed front glass/door panel. Continue to remove glass protector, the frame that holds the glass. Remove the layer that protects insulation and surrounds glass. Remove glass assembley, replace with new kit. Replace everything back in order. Replace door on oven. Inner screws were phillips head, the screws on the door were hex.
unscrew microwave's cover, test the fuse which is located at top rear left side, the fuse is inside a plastic tube,if the fuse is burnout, just replace it.
Using a flat-head screw driver, I removed the 1 screw from the small "door" on the back, upper right corner. Once the screw was removed, it allowed the door plate to "pop" open; exposing the old bulb. I removed the old bulb; replaced it with the new one. DONE!
Turn off the electricity for the oven from the switch box. Unsure the damaged element from the unit. Pull it forward and unplug connections. Then plug the new element and use the new screws to screw it back to the unit. That's all
Shut off electricity to oven. Remove existing screws attaching element to back wall of oven. Use pliers to pull off wire connectors. To install the new element, reverse these steps. It's that simple.
Unscrewed old element from back of oven, disconnected and reinserted new element and screwed back into place. Voila! So glad to have saved the cost of a repairman. Where I live this would have been a $200 repair(part and service call) easily. This repair took no time at all. Very please as to how fast Parts service got the part to me. I use my oven a lot, so I was lost without it.
