Part of the dryer door latch fell out and was lost. Needed to replace it.
When I ordered the part, I viewed the installation video. That was a key step for me. It told me how to identify the correct part (there are multiple latch pieces in the repair kit, and one of them matches the type of door for the dryer), and how to disassemble the door to get the part installed. When the part came and I installed it, it turned out that I could snap the part in by hand, with no tools. It took about 5 seconds to try it, and it worked.

Dryer would not start
The dryer just stopped after a new load of clothes was put in. It appeared to be a power problem as there were not warnings, it just stopped. After checking the power, I suspected it was an electrical interlock problem. After nosing around, I traced the power to the dryer door interlock. Sure enough the switch was fine, but the mechanical lever was worn away. After Googling around for a replacement I found PartSelect.Com. Found the part, ordered it, and I am back in business. My wife is not happy though, as she wanted a new dryer:)

Dryer won't start!
Googled dryer won't start! From information on the Parts Select website, I determined it was possibly the dryer door switch. Checked the dryer to confirm status of door switch and found it broken! Ordered part and received it within 2 days (actually ordered on a Sunday and it shipped on Monday with receipt on Wednesday. Unpluged the dryer. Used information from Parts select website to remove two screws from vent filter, used screwdriver to pop the top of dryer at each front corner, removed two long screws from the old switch and replaced the broken actuator on the switch with the new actuator received from Parts Select. Note: It was easier to remove old switch with the wires removed from terminals (just pull off), replacing the wires after securing the switch and actuator back in place. Piece of cake, wife happy, received her king of the roost reward :>)) This is also a good time to clean the lint filter area and the hoses to prevent one of those 16,000 annual dryer fires!!!

my dryer just stopped working one day
I went on your website and it was awesome! I just followed all the suggestions and it turned out a certain percentage of people that had my problem found out it was this part. I watched the video of how to install the part and it was really easy to understand. The part came in two days, my husband and I replaced it in 12 minutes! And turned on the dryer :) That simple. Saved myself a couple of hundred dollars. Thank you!

My dryer thermal fuse went out, so my dryer would not work.
I removed the thermal fuse that was held on by one screw and 2 wires that just slide off. I put the thermal fuse into the slot, secured it with the screw, and attached the 2 wires. It was easy.

Gas Dryer - Ignites at first and burner goes out within a few minutes. No Heat while dryer runs
Thermal Fuse,This part did not fix the problem. I installed it consistent wih the other instructions and your video tutorial. Changing the part was very easy.
I ordered a second part the Cycling Thermostat. It did not solve the poblem. It was just as easy to change/install as the first part.Video tutorial was very good.
Although the video tutorials are on electric dryers and I have a gas dryer, the install was virtually the same.
I'm on to the third set of parts, perhaps the coils. I'll let you know how it goes.

Dryer cycled fine - just no HEAT :(
This was the easiet most cost efficient repair I have ever done. Watched the video on the site the day I ordered the part....then waited only 2 days - that's right, here in two days for part and used a simple hex screw driver (which your site even gave the size to use) and removed the back panel and pulled the two wires, removed old thermal fuse and put the new one in. Put the back on...and gave it a test "drive"! And yes, HEAT! Thank you so much for developing this site.

I took off the back of the dryer, the thermal fuse was attached by one screw , took off old ,replaced with knew one and to my surprise My dryer worked.
I figured since my dryer was purchased in 1994 I would give it a shot. The part was only about Ten dollars, it was easy to install and it was said 50% of the time this was the problem. I love saving money.

No Heat
not knowing what the problem at first was, went to your website and there it give two choices so i went the easiest first which was the thermal fuse. removed the back cover with a 1/4 nut driver then removed old thermal fuse and replaced new one. replaced cover and started dryer. perfecto. Then i wondered why the thermal fuse had blown so i went in the backyard to check the dryer vent and i found the vent was clogged with lint so make sure to clean your vent out.

Dryer stopped heating, yet still rotated
I replaced the two thermostats and the heating element. Didn't need the Thermal fuse I purchased because I discovered the one I had was not defective. I followed the repair video that Parts Select provided and it went exactly as planned. Thanks for the video it was exactly what I needed since my husband usually does the wiring around here.

broken belt and idler pulley
real simple, remove the two screws that holds the lent trap, then use a flat head screw driver to pop the front of the top up.then remove the two screws that holds the front to the sides, now lay the dryer on its back and remove the front and set it aside.now carefully pull the tub straight up and set aside.the idler pulley has probably fallen off its track, but know worries,it will go back once you have installed new belt.clean all of the lent that has been stuck around everything over the years.put the tub back in place, making sure that it ligns up correct.now put the new belt back making sure that it ligns up with the old marks.place the idler pulley back in place and turn the tub counter clocwwise to make sure it is aligned.put front back in place and snap the top on and reinstall the two screws in lent trap.

heat would start but then stop and not dry load
tok off the back cover and the fuse is right there in plain site, took me like 2 minutes to change it out. This did not fix the prob though so I had to get the 2 small cyl. that fit on top of the gas valve. It took longer to take the screws out than it did to change the parts. works fine now and boy am I happy cause my daughter had to move back in to my house with a 4 month old temp while she looks for housing and the clothes pile up quick! :) Thanks for your quick delivery, you can't beat 1 day delivery.
