First I removed the screws holding the front of the dryer and the door in place, then removed the front panel. Next, I simply located where the old igniter had been mounted, mounted the new one on the bracket, tightened it up, and re-attached everything.
For the first time I had ever delved into the guts of a home appliance, this was a remarkably easy repair. 15, 20 minutes tops, and that's accounting for the time spent finding all the necessary screws and mounting points with no guidance.
