The knob will turn but does not engage at all. It spins freely but you can't feel it "bump ahead" (for lack of a better term), and will not move to set a cook time, clock, etc. I have checked the diagram and the parts that follow/attach the knob. It looks like 1654 is the most likely solution. All of the buttons seem to be ok and i can still use "express cook" which makes me think that it isn't the main control panel. I hope that this makes sense as i am writing to you in an effort not to do the typical girl explanation that the "thingie' is broken. Thanks much!

Hi Rahbn,
Thank you for your question. It was well said. Basically what you will have to look at is the backside of the knob. Check to see if there are any signs that the plastic has broken or there is stripping on the inside. If that part is fine, it actually may be a physical part on your key panel that broken just with use. I hope that helps you narrow it down. Good luck with your repair.
