unit would not agitate or spin
I checked the motor,it was bad I was pulling to 20 amps too much. The washer was still not working and the motor was bad so I checked the lid switch for continuity. ... Read moreould show no continuity. An open circuit means a break in the circuit. To change hinge bushings, raise lid, remove the screws on the outside of the lid, remove hinge, remove lid, insert new hinge bushings, place hinge through lid into bushings, and then put the screws back into the lid. If you followed these steps you should be done.

It fills up when it goes from wash to rinse it quits and starts humming unhealthily washer turns off.

Thank you for your inquiry. You may want to check your lid switch to see if it is working correctly. If this part is malfunctioning then it could be that the machine is reading that the door is open and so it will not go into the spin cycle. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.
