Error code came up saying the right lid lock was bad. I chose to change both of them.
First move the washer away from the wall, lift the top of the unit up from the cabinet, and tilt it back. Disconnect the wires connecting the lid lock unit to the control panel. There is a single small bolt holding the lock units in place. It connects to the little bumper pads where the lid comes down. Simply remove the bolt, remove the o
... Read moreld lock unit, and replace it with the new one. Reattaching the bolt can be kind of tricky because you need to hold the bumper in place so you can get the bolt started but other than that it's easy. Just reconnect the wires and you're good to go.
