The part was fine it was the correct part but it did not fix whatever is wrong with that machine unfortunately Although it was. easy to replace the part exactly as described in the instructions . I took a gamble thinking that that part would probably fix the machine because the cycle is what's wrong it gets stuck on spin.

Timer would go though all the cycles, but washer would not drain after the spin cycle.
Unplug washer form the electrical outlet. Remove cap on timer knob, then remove keeper (expansion button) to release the knob, knob will not just pull off without these steps. Remove the 6 screws on the upper cover, lift off cover, unplug timer and remove the one screw, depress tap, remove timer. Install new timer, reverse the above steps
