oven temp is hotter than set temp by 50 or more degrees

Hello John, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to a faulty temperature sensor, part number PS820208, and/or defective temperature control, part number PS1151145. The small (companion oven) will automatically go to broil regardless of what oven temp is set. At first, if a lower temp was selected, the oven would behave normally, but now any temp. selected causes it to go to broil. I am so hoping i don't need a whole new control board! Any opinions on a part needed?

Hi Alison,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest testing your broil element first. You can also give your temperature sensor a test as well. Both of those parts can bet tested with a multi meter. If they are both testing good, then it is likely you would have to replace your board. Good luck with your repair.
