water leaked through door gasket.
Lowered door and put a weight on it to keep it open. with screwdriver pried out the old gasket. It was simple. looked at the end of the replacement gasket and inserted it into the track with the small hole down. Job Complete. about three minutes total time.
I opened the door and pulled the gasket from around the dishwasher. The gasket does not have any adhesive around it, so it pulled free almost immediately. The new gasket was pressed into place around the door and I was done. It couldn't have been any easier. I suspected it was the gasket when I saw pinched portions that did not return to the original shape and there were no visible cracks in the machine.
I just installed the new part. There were no tools required. I bought an extra part I ordered the part on Monday, and it arrivefor the other side in case it breaks. d by FedEx the next day. I live in Southern California.
This was an easy fix. My husband took out the old gasket and put the new one in. It fit perfectly and no more leak. The part got to us really quickly too and that was nice. No more hand washing the dishes! :)
Remove retainer that holds door color slide in front of door & then remove the slide. Remove cardboard backing, remove electric latch release, remove latch & replace with new one. Open door & slide out the cup dispenser cover pin & spring & replace with new ones. This was all straight-forward & simple.
My Dishwasher Started Leaking Out The Bottom Of The Impeller Assembly.
I went on line and found the partselect website and was able to identify the defective parts using the schematic drawings. I ordered the parts and in about an hour I had reassembled the dishwasher and had it running again much to the joy of my wife and children. (No more washing dishes by hand!). I also purchased the touch-up paint and tine tips and now the washer looks and runs like it did when I purchased it.
Opened the door by using a star screwdriver. Pulled the door inside from the outside. Located the broken spring, put in new one (be very carefull to see how the insides are put together..makes life ALOT easier), and carefully put back together.
You slide the pin that holds the door in the first hole. then you slide the spring in next. The you slide the pin through the last hole. After that you gently push the door onto the pin till it snaps into place. And your done.
