broke glass shelf cleaning it.
No installation really required. This was the greatest experience I have ever had purchasing any product. I broke the shelf cleaning the refrigerator, ordered the part on-line and received it in less then 24 hours of breaking the original. Am slightly disappointed that the shelf was plain and not like the original with the white dots, but definitely very pleased with the timely replacement service!

Ice maker quit making ice
I followed the video that came with my email receipt but i had to use the extra electrical adapter, there is no where to put the extra wiring so it is hanging next to the wall. I was glad I didn't have to unplug the fridge. just kept the wire up so no water would come out. It took several hours to start working and it doesn't make as much ice as the old one, but at least it works. It was a very informative video. Thanks

Evaporator motor needed replaced
When my side by side Kenmore refrigerator quit keeping the top half of my freezer and refrigerator cold I called Sears to see how much it would cost to get it checked out and fixed. Bottom line it was going to cost minimum $65 (which was just for him to come out) to $250 on up depending on what the problem was. So i decided to "do it myself"! I took it apart and within a few minutes figured out that it was my evaporator fan. So I went to sears to order the part based on the part number and with shipping and handling it was going to cost $125. While at sears I got on one of their computers and quickly looked up Kenmore parts and partselect.com came up and I quickly found the part for $62 and I chose overnight delivery and spent a total of like $83. When my part arrived I realized that the wiring/plug ins didn't quite match up. So I got online and went to their website and found a video for "do it yourself'ers" like me on how to splice the wiring to make it match. It took me about 20 min to splice the wire and put my refrigerator back together and IT WORKED! Easy easy easy and I saved moocho bucks! Ill never pay a repairman again. Oh and by the way, I am blond! :-)

Re: The Old Shelves Cracked At The Slip On Brackets
Simply,we slid the 2 new shelves on to the refrigerator shelve protrusion holds and made sure the the back catch was securing the shelves. Great customer service. We had the first order wrong and sent it back. The second order we used the model number and it was perfect. The real deal was the security we felt giving out a bank card number. Thanks to ruben!!!
