Water Actuator (dispensing paddle) broke and not able to glue again
Fortunately, this was not hte first time to do a repair on the through the door dispensers. I turned the unit off and removed the door tray (slides out) to expose the screws for trim removal. When that is removed, you remove the circuitry and then remove the actuator and spring. It was difficult to get the new actuator in place. the "stop" which holds it in pace is not forgiviing! And that is being mild. (I remember a few explitive delitives I thought wer gone foreever! I reconnected the circuit to the panel, replaced the panel, and the tricky part was to reinsert the water hose into the dispenser hole. Good luck. When that was in, the entire unit was reeturned with the four screws. The front trim panel was replaced with four screws, and the slide in drip tray was slid in. Job done, and the power was restored. Thank goodness I had some long hemostates to control the reinsertion of the water tube!

Air damper control broke
My brother-in-law was the real hero here, he's quite the handy man. Once we realized that the loud noise and lack of cooling was the failed motor in the air damper unit we ordered the replacement after taking the entire unit and arm out of the fridge. Removing the entire damper unit was the only hard part due to the adhesive to the plastic mounting and Styrofoam insulation. Once out, we put the replacement in, reconnected the power switches and reseated the entire control unit arm into the fridge. The noise was gone and after a day the temperature in the fridge was back to 39 degrees Farenheit.

light switch broken
Not long after we bought this fridge, the plastic on the light switch cracked, making the lever stick out too much so that the door wouldn't close. It's been taped down ever since. I simply pulled the old switch out and plugged the new one in. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do this ages ago. It was so easy and now I can see inside my refrigerator again.

replaced water valve
The changing of the water valve was pretty straight forward. First shut the water off to the ice maker, then pull the refrigerator out. Once that is done, then I removed the cardboard covering with a cordless drill, loosened the screws that held the water valve in place. The water valve assembly is colored coordinated so disconnecting and reconnecting the lines to the new valve assembly was pretty easy. Reattached the cardboard covering pushed refrigerator back and place turn on supply line and waited for the ice maker to fill up. After several cycles on the ice maker I made one slight adjustment on the ice cube size behind the cover of the ice maker. Total time one hour, then waiting for the ice maker to cycle a few times to ensure all was working properly.

Freezer side kept defrosting
After receiving the parts, I clamped on the connector ends, and put on the shrink tubes. Unplug frig, took out the shelves (4) screws, unscrewed back panel (4) screws. Took old thermostat off tube, clipped (2)wires on old thermostat, splice wires, clamped connector on old wires, moved up shrink tubes, and used a heat gun to shrink the wires. Put new thermostat on the tube the old one came off of, put panel, and the shelves back. Pugged frig in. Works great!
