WRS23MW3AWP Westinghouse Refrigerator - Instructions

The refrigerator comes with 4 door bins. I had alot of wasted space so I purchased and installed another door bin. It snapped in. The hardest part was unsnapping a couple of the other bins to reposition them for better use.

Took every thing out of the door, removed 2 screws (plus cover screw), laid the door down, replaced the parts, put the door back on. When the refrigerated stuff was back in the door shelves, I was done.

The broken bin was removed. It lifts out. And the new bin slipped into place!!

Watch the video provided by PartSelect and did exactly the same percedure. Shows what screws to remove and how to remove and replace the part. The freezer compartment was iced up quite a bit so defrosted it before installing part.

First off, I ordered the wrong part. Following the "return" protocol, , Partselect, UPS had the correct part delivered to me the next day. The instructional videos linked to the part description made my repair effortless. A great resource for DIY's.

first turn power off (i just tripped breaker but you can unplug unit. Next remove water and ice base tray this piece simply slides straight out. Now remove the control panel bezel by first removing 3 #2 philps head screw along base of bezel, unplug bezel/control panel from actuator by removing 12pin connector set control panel/bezel aside for now. next remove 3 screw securing ice and water dispenser, remove 4pin electrical connector on lower left side. now aqloow unit to hang by water supply tube . rotate unit so that you have a top view. visually locate and remove the two metal keeper that hold the dispenser actuator in place again there are 3 philips head screws holding these tabs down 2 on one tab and one on the other remove and discard old/broken tab. install new actuator and reverse the removal process and your done the whole job takes about 15-20 miniutes unless you have to repair any rusty area that can form around face of refrigerator face where bezel mounts.

I followed the instructions by the repairman via the QT movie. It was one of the easiest jobs I've ever done. The repairman's method and the photography was perfect.

The repair was not really a repair at all, but just a replacement that automatically snaps on. The impressive thing was how easily I was able to locate the part and how quickly it arrived to my home. My husband, who works for a major department in our local city government said he really couldn't believe it and especially at the price we paid. just put it in the old hole. the hard part was getting the old one out. you have to poke the center piece in to remove. otherwise you will break your fridge. then you have to to pull the center piece out before you put new in.

take of the tray & take parts out & installed the new ones

Removed the old, slid in and pressed down the new, and that was it.

Removed the nuts on top - to loosen the door. Lifted the door off the hinge. Took out old part, put in new one, reinserted door, replaced nuts.
