The module cover was broken when it was removed improperly
I simply unscrewed the original and replaced it with the replacement. It was very easy. I did have to order the label as the original one would not come off to be re-used. Hopefully, that will go on easily as well.
Right door makes loud poping sound when open and close
I followed step by step instruction in the hinge kit; Replacing the old hinge with a new hinge and two new plastic cams in the kit. The kit hinge has an adjustment to level the right door with the left door. Everything is done in 20 minutes for a senior guy like me. Very easy.
got replacement ice container with ice crusher and dispenser in the door. removed broken one and slid in the new one like a drawer and started crushing ice right away!!
removed rear cover, removed screws, diconnected water line connections, cut off old water line connection, installed new compression water line connection, replace screws in water line housing, replace rear cover.
There was a hole in the plastic bin where ice fell through to the freezer.
I removed the screws that held the the ice dispencer from the bin. I than removed three screws from the bottom of the bin. I put the new plastic piece on the end of the spiral piece that pushes the ice. I inserted the spiral piece back into the hole. I than screwed the ice dispencer to the bin and re-inserted it back in the refrigerator. It took me about 5 to 10 minutes. It's really easy!
Installation was completed by following the online Parts diagram. Had to completely remove all parts, including the blades in ice crusher, and re-assemble. Glad the online diagram was clear and easy to read.
The parts supplied were made to fit. The hardest part was getting the original broken tabs out of the internal walls of the fridge with out damaging the internal insulation. I punched the center locking pin through completely, dug out the broken tabs and then reached into the hole with a dental pick and pulled out the center pin. The new parts fit perfectly and with a plastic mallet, tapped the new locking pin into place.
I replaced the solenoid first because the ice maker was not getting water. After replacing the solenoid valve, I waited about 1/2 an hour, still no water. So, I ordered a replacement ice maker. I then installed the replacement ice maker, waited a 1/2 an hour, still no water. Then, I waited overnight. Yeah, ice! WORD OF ADVICE. WAIT OVERNIGHT TO SEE IF THE ICE MAKER CREATES ICE. Not sure how long a cycle takes, but it's longer than you would think. Hope your installation is a success!
Well...The freezer door bin broke while over-stuffing it with frozen deer jerky. I called my local repair shop and they quoted me what was above retail for the piece...I checked online liked the prices and felt confident to buy from parts select. I bought on a Saturday and selected the slowest shipping (I think 5 days). I got a 'notice' it shipped on Monday and had it Tuesday when I got home from work. Excellent experience.
Watched YouTube video. Very easy. Used my cell phone camera in ‘selfie’ mode propped up in the upper right hand corner of freezer to see the 2 hidden screws.
Ordered new water filter. It arrived, I opened it and took out the old one and put in the new one. I worked perfectly as soon as I realized I had to remove the protective caps.
Snapping noise from bottom of refridgerator door bottom hinge.
First I looked up and called Fridgedaire. They were absolutely no help at all. No diagrams and no intelligent help. When I found your site there was an IPB (Illustrated Parts Breakdown) diagram that helped me find the parts that I suspected as being the problem. When I found them and added them to my cart I found several comments from people who had the same problem and the same remedy to the problem. I ordered the parts, I could have got away with just replacing the door closure bearing, but I figured that the prudent thing to do while ordering parts and disassembling the door was to replace both. I was extremley pleased with the parts service as within three days of ordering the parts they were at my home and the repair was completed. The repair was very easy. Removed the items from the door storage, removed the upper hinge pulled the door, removed the door stop, replaced the door closure bearing reinstalled the pieces and then reinstalled the door. Piece of cake. Spent more time getting the tools together and emptying the items stored on the door then replacing the parts.
