Water leak at the bottom left corner of the door
If your are just a tiny bit "handy", you can do this job in about 30 minutes for $30. The rubber gasket comes off very easily from its location, just pull it off, than, using a small piece of wood, I used a shim, insert the new gasket in, an inch at the time, all around the frame. No more leak, and probably over $150 savings. A plumber or repair man would have charged $90 just to drive to my house, plus part & labor. Thanks to PartSelect too, the part was delivered rapidly and the all ordering process was painless.
Replace black access panel on Whirlpool dishwasher (model WDF520PADM7)
I needed to replace the black access panel on my Whirlpool dishwasher (model WDF520PADM7).
By following the instructions in this short video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=995mtdO7rQg) , I was able to complete the replacement in under 10 minutes. You'll need a flat-blade screwdriver. The Retainer Clip - Black can be a little tricky to position into the opening, so have patience.
Keep in mind that the Retainer Clip - Black only contains ONE clip and so you must make sure to order TWO Retainer Clip - Black from PartSelect.
Ordered a new pump (after a online diagnosis). Followed the instruction video on the website...also took the time to replace the discharge hose due to residue buildup...tested dishwasher (one cycle). Slide dishwasher back into opening....DONE. Works perfectly. THANKS
Pulled dishwasher out of compartment, removed all parts underneath. removed inner parts, removed pump assembly. Installed new pump assembly and grommet. Reassembled in reverse order, test ran and unit was operating normal and no leaks.
Element was no longer working. Dishes were not drying.
Watched a video and seen how easy it was to repair. Just disconnect the power, water and return drain. two bolts and replace element . The difficult part was removing and replacing the dishwasher...piece of cake.
