Top rack had rusted
Slid the rack out, removed the end pieces holding top rack in the sliding arms. Removed the spray arm. It was stiff & a bit hard to get off, but with a little careful prying it came off. Put that spray arm assembly back onto the new rack, slid the new rack back in place, put the end pieces back on and in less than 15 minutes, we were done. Part came in very quickly, I might add. I feel like I have a brand new dishwasher.

Dispenser latch worn out
The actual installation of the dispenser was a breeze. Just unscrew the 6 screws unplug the 2 electrical wires and put the new one in. The problem I had was removing and replacing the front panel of the machine. The metal facing had corroded onto the frame of the door and was difficult to get off. Replacing the door was just as much a pain as it had to be lined up correctly with 4 holes in the frame. Did it in the end everything works great. Cheaper than a whole new machine.

Brass nuts holding heating element in place had split
All you have to do power down the unit, then disconnect the power connections at the element and remove the old nuts and replace them with the new ones and tighten. Don't tighten too much, the element has a rubber seal that just needs the nut to snug it up.

Machine was leaking from the bottom left side (facing)
The machine was not used for three years after discovering a leak. It appeared to be coming from the drain pump. I Decided to reevaluate the leak for repair, with a little prodding from my wife, I found the leak coming from the bottom of the door. I Found the worn seal and I ordered a new part. I used needle-nose pliers to remove the old seal, pushed the new seal in with my fingers, checked for leaks, none found. Machine is back in business. My wife was happy.

Water was not filling the dishwasher at the approbriate time in the cycle.
Pulled the dishwasher out, turned it on the side to gain access to the inlet valve, removed the inlet valve. The hard part was getting the valve fitting that didn't come with the inlet valve. I had to use liqued wrench to loosen the hard water deposits to get it off. Once it was off, putting the new valve on was easy. Also of note, when I tested the old vlalve with an Ohm meeter it read 8 M ohm, not infinity. The new one only measured at about 1k ohm.
