shorted out small element burner switch
First, I disconnected the electrical power by pulling apart the plug behind the range. Next, I removed the screws holding the service plate on back of the top panel.I removed the switch knob by gently pulling it from the stem. Underneath I found 2 screws holding the switch in the panel. I removed these with a phillips screwdriver.I was able to pull the entire switch out to the rear leaving all wires attached. The new switch looked different from the original and the wires were configured differently but the wires were clearly marked. By removing one at a time and placing it on the new switch to the corresponding marking,it was a simple matter to wire the switch.I reinstalled the switch in the panel, put back in the screws to hold the switch, slid the knob back on the stem, reinstalled the rear panel, and plugged the power cord back in.The switch worked perfectly.

Bake Element Did Not Heat.
Watched the video on Partselect before ordering the part, to see what I was getting into. Part arrived super quick. Removed bad element just as video described, and installed new element in opposite direction. Job was complete, and super was in the oven in less than 15 mins after arriving home from work. Anybody can do this repair, don't waste your money on a service call!

bake element caught fire and needed to be replaced
first pulled the breaker, then removed the oven door. One wire came out easily but the other side would not budge so we had to take off the back of the range. They had cought the wire up in a loop and so it had no give. Removed it from the loop so if it ever needs to be replaced again we won't have the same problem. Used the advice from other comments and it went as discribed. I hope others also removed the door as I can't imagine how much harder it would be with the door in place.

lower burner burnt in two!
after reading the very first reader report, I was happily amazed how easy the repair was. it took longer to unwrap the part than it did to undo two small nuts, unclip the wire, clip on the replacement burner, and redo both nuts. thanks again for the help. saved lots of time and money.

Electric Connector to mounting bracket too long
I had to remove the back of the range in order to cut away the sheet metal that was contacted by the bent terminals that had to be done to shorten them to clear the back sheet metal panel.

Easy Peasy
Oven went out on Christmas Eve . . . yikes! Managed to get through the holiday by using my roaster and my husband was planning to call a repairman the day after Christmas. I told him to wait until I could do some research. I got on line, found this site and decided I could do it myself. I ordered the element on Thursday, received it on Friday. Great service! It took about 10 minutes to install, by following the video. (Took longer to find the right electric breaker than it did to change the element!)

I had placed aluminum foil on bottom and it adhered to the surface.
I removed two screws and lifted out the ruined bottom. I set the new bottom in, but could not get the screws lined up so left them out. The bottom is heavy enough, it is not going anywhere. I am very grateful the part was available.
