SGR351CS0 Westinghouse Dryer - Instructions

Had the drum bearing but had never got a round to putting it in we just let it squeek. Then the belt went. Easy enough, whatched the tutorial once and just did it. 35 minutes and back drying.

This repair took about fifteen minutes. I popped the top of the dryer using a flat-blade screwdriver, leaned it back against the back wall, unscrewed two screws holding the front panel, removed the five electrical spade contacts after marking which went where, swung out the panel and lifted it off. After that, it was a simple job to unscrew the plate holding the solenoids in, at the bottom left of the unit. I replaced the solenoids, closed everything up and now the dryer is working better than it has in the last three years, or so. If your dryer is heating sporadically, the odds are 85%, or more, that a solenoid swap-out will correct the problem.

I had a main bearing go out. So I decided that since I was going to be in the very back of the dryer I would just rebuild the while unit. Took me under two hours and I replaced every moving part or part that was involved in moving parts and was super easy.

Very simple. Pop the top open released the beld from the back it's easier that way the video was very helpful the sound was so bad you can hear it from a few houses down after year of just using it like that I figured I ha d nothing to loose great price great instructions now it sounds just as new.

I took the switch off, found the part# and model# of my dryer, placed the order. The cost was a small fraction of the cost of a new dryer. The part arrived in about 2 days. I replaced the switch on my dryer in about 5 minutes. I really do appreciate Partselect.com. They were very cost-effective for a family such as mine thats trying to stay in a budget.

Saw video on YouTube on how to change rear bearing. Followed what I saw and repairs were made with ease. our repair kit included all the parts (new bearing) and everything fit perfect.

Slip replacement knob on to selector switch shaft

I raised the top up by releasing the two clips in the front edge with a small flat head screwdriver. I used a bungie cord to keep the lid from bending to far back. I removed the front of the dryer softly letting the drum rest on the insides. I carefully removed the drum by pulling upward to disengage the rear bearing and not damage the heating element. I then cleaned the entire inside of the dryer with a vacuum, brush, and some compressed air. I then replaced and greased the new plastic bearing cup, installed the drum, slipped the belt on, installed the front cover, and hooked up the belt through the access door on the rear of the dryer. Checked to see if the system looked ok and closed the lid. Worked great. I would order a front seal felt kit also if I was to do it again.

Took cover off and removed damaged part. Removed wiring and reattached to new part

Your website was very helpful in narrowing down and diaganosing the problem. A continuity tester verified an open solenoid. Ordered Sunday evening, parts arrived Tuesday. Ignition coils drop in place with a holddown bracket and one screw. Wiring harness is reattached. Front of dryer is put in place followed by the top. Plugged in the dryer (it is just commom sense to have the power off). Started dryer, of course it ran WITH heat. The end of the story is HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE. Happy to do business with you. First I watched the video on how to do the repair. Very good instuctions made the repair go smoothly.

Very simple. I removed the broken latch with pliers and snapped in the new one in less than 5 minutes.
