Changing the drive motor
Before you can remove the drive motor from the dryer, you will also have to remove the fan shroud and fan. To remove the fan from the drive motor shaft will require a 13/16 six point socket with an extension. Grip the belt pulley on the back of the motor with a pair for pliers so it doesn't move. Put the socket and extension on the plastic nut on the fan and very carefully turn clockwise (this is a left handed thread so it is reversed from a normal thread). If you end up rounding off the nut (which I did) you will have to beat a smaller socket on the nut and try again.Needless to say I ended up purchasing a new shroud and fan, since they build the shroud with the fan inside it. My suggestion is to purchase a fan and shroud in advance just in case you cannot get the fan off without ruining it. You can always return it if yours comes off easily. I hope this helps, as I had to wait another week to get my shroud and fan assembly.

The blower fan was loose on the drive motor shaft and rubbing against the housing
You tube has quite a few videos that walk you right through the entire process. Due to the age of my dryer I replaced the belt and the Rear Drum Bearing kit while I had it apart. There were videos for all of it. Easy fix.
