Latch was broken
I removed the screws from the door, popped out the broken part, installed the new door latch and replaced the screws. The repair was fast and easy. Reading others comments about how to do the repair here helped a lot. Ordering from this company and finding the correct part couldn't have been easier. I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this website. Fixing this on my own saved me a lot of money. Just for kicks I checked online with Sears. I found the part but they would not let me order it, I would have to request someone to come out and repair it for me, LOL! Thank you Part Seclect!

start button stopped working on my dishwasher
Turned power to dishwasher off. I had to unscrew 9 screws that hold the inside of the door on. This exposed the latch assembly I was able to disconnect the wires (had to tug quite a bit). Plugged wires back into the new assembly and fit it into place. Screwed the screws back on turned power back on and it worked. Yeah I fixed the dishwasher for under $30.

It was too easy.
Matching the part I had in my hand with the picture online was a cinch. Rec'd the latch in a few days, and installed it in minutes. Why did I wait so long to look it up and order? At least the kids think I'm a hero for fixing the dishwasher!

door beginning to be difficult to latch and unlatch
Removed torx screws from inside door cover, then removed 2 torx screws that held the latch assembly on. Removed 4 wires from the 2 microswitches....wires are very difficult to pull off. Installed in reverse order making sure the proper color wires go to the correct microswitch. Probably the simplest, easiest repair job I've ever done.

latch had broken off inside
removed all the torx screws that hold the inside panel to the door. Removed the latch/switch.[Don't forget to turn off the power] Could not remove the wiring harness from the micro switch so I removed the old micro switches from the old switch and moved them to the new switch, harness and all. repositioned the latch and reattached the panel.
there are two latches available. I ordered the wrong one at first. Got the correct one in just two days. Was able to return to wrong one for credit.
Great service. Glad I didn't call a repairman.
