Our dishwasher was not heating up to dry dishes
All steps were easy except the Maytag layout made it hard to get to the fittings to remove and reconnect the water line. After that we just moved the dishwasher from beneath the counter and laid it down on the front. Removing and testing the old heater element was easy. The hardest part of installing the element was the odd clips inside the dishwasher. I need to return the o-ring and nuts because you included them with the heating element.

Plastic handle broke -- plastic brittle
Turn off the power to the DW at the junction box. Unscrew 8 screws inside the door. Separate the lining from the door. Remove the old switch ( I used a flat head screwdriver to push the connectors off the plug-type blades) and push the new switch onto the connectors. Put the switch back into the door, replace the screws, close the door...turn power back on... It was just that easy!

Broken door latch
Followed the instructions of the video and found it very helpful. The part was very easy to find and was delivered a lot sooner than I expected. I just removed the Torx screws as directed on the video, noting which way the wiring was plugged into the assembly and simply snapped it into place, plugged wires back in and reinstalled the screws. Works great. Didn't forget to kill the power first, thanks to the helpful video.

Broken plastic handle
Simple as 1,2,3! TURN OFF THE POWER!!! Open dishwasher...Remove 9 screws inside and around the door that hold the door cover on...Pull out the latch/switch and using a flat-blade screw driver GENTLY pry the two wire harnesses off the old latches micro switches (there is one on each side of the latch.) Attach the wire harnesses to the new switch and reverse the process. This whole job should take even the most novice person 10 to 15 minutes to complete! FYI the handle was the only thing broken but they don't sell just the handle...so you gotta buy the whole handle/latch/switch combination.

Broken Dishwasher Switch
The repair went well. Got the part in the mail faster than expected. It took longer to take off the cover to the dishwasher that it did to replace the part. It could not have been simpler. Don't be a stud, be sure to unplug the dishwasher. You will be dealing with exposed conductors.

My Maytag dishwasher is 6yrs old and the handle used to open/close the door broke and was just flopping around in its slot
First off, I'm really glad I found this web site. I watched the video on how to change a broken handle and felt confident I could do it before I ordered the part. The handle came completely assembled and was honestly quite easy to replace. My door has six sided screw heads so had to find a screwdriver that would work then took about 2 min to unscrew the inside of the door. I then used a little tupperware qt containor to prop the door open while I used a pair of pliers to unplug the electric plugs...they were the hardest thing I had to do to fix my handle. Those things are really hard to get off but after I unhooked them the handle assembly just popped right in, I conneted the plugs back, screwed the back of the door back and wa-la it worked just perfectly! Only took 10 or 15 min...but the video was a great help. I would recommend using their products anytime and will come back to this site if/when I need appliance repair help again. THANK YOU!!
