Rubber tube on upper tray was disintigrating...
The tube had a huge hole in it. It was very easy to replace - I just pulled off the old one and put on the new. The cool thing was how easy it was to find the exact part I needed online in less than 5 minutes. Gotta love the internet!
The tube had holes from being used but the dishwasher still works great. I researched this part and it was a great price and really easy to fix. The picture looks different than what the tube looks like in the dishwasher but it is correct. Definitely put soap on the ends to help glide it on. Took me 2 minutes to fix.
Old water tube had worn through and was falling off.
Removed old water tube and replaced it with the new one. Hard part was logistically trying to put it below the rack and it obviously it had to fit very tight and it was quite difficult to get in place, but I did it! Thanks to your easy to use website and excellent service. I was proud of myself for doing the whole job start to finish, and my husband was even more impressed. Only downside to that is that I think he'll be playing more golf, while I do the repair work from now on.
Very, very simple. The axles are nylon plastic and snap into the plastic-coated metal grid that forms the lower dishwasher rack. Over time they get brittle and break. Replacement consists of snapping the old axle out of the rack and snapping the new one in. I replaced some of the wheels at the same time, as we had lost them. The wheels don't seem to wear out, so if you did this repair in time, you could re-use the wheels. These little axles are EXPENSIVE ($3.50 each!), but for $30 you can replace all eight of them, and your dishwasher rack will work like new again!
worn rubber tube water feed to upper spin arm in dishwasher
The replacement worked fine, but the website could have been a bit more re-assuring in terms of showing the image of the part. It was not possible on the website to determine whether the piece was going to fit, as the piece as shown was flat/oval on both ends, where the fitting for the water feed is round. The site could have explained that this was flexible material that would form itself to the round feed connection. The measurements of the part should also be given. The price was right, so I bought it anyway, and hoped. As I have said, it DID work fine. You need to clarify the item on the website.
I had repaired the hose with duck tape several times, and finally was able to convince my husband to look up the model number etc. went on line to see if I could locate a dealer to get the hose, and that was so easy, Ordered it, it came in 2 days, and my dishwasher works great again.
It was so easy just took off the old hose and snapped in the new one.
I pulled out the old hose and pushed in the new one. Took a little muscle, but was glad that it fit. On line site very helpful with description so that it fit perfectly!
I was goingto go to Home-Depot, and purchase a short piece of tubing to make the repair. Just for the "heck" of it, I looked on-line --- and there it was. It is a large diameter thin wall tube, because water presiue is low, almost zero. However, the replacement part was only $8,25, so I figured, what the heck, I can wait a few days and purchased the part from PartSelect.com. I lubricated the new tube with soap, to make the slip-fit go on easier and -------------- Done
removed the two cover in front of the dishwasher then removed the water inlet valve located behind these covers. replaced the old valve with a new valve by connecting the water supply line and the outlet hose going to the dishwasher.
