Plastic hinges broke on Chef Pantry Door
I pulled out the pantry drawer, the two crisper drawers above, and the glass shelf and supports.
I used a 1/2" nutdriver to take out 3 nuts and then reused them to put in the new pieces. Save your existing hardware since new nuts were not supplied. This was so easy! The right one was a little more challenging because of the temperature control. Take a minute to see how it works when you take it off the old one. That will help you recreate it on the new one.
I am a fairly handy woman. I did ask one of my guy friends to help me find the right tool to use.
This was really easy. I think the original design is cheap and poorly done, especially considering how much we paid for this fridge.

Was cleaning fridge and when disassembling broke off piece of endcap
I removed all shelving. Used a cordless screwdriver with nut piece on end and took out nuts. Then had to CAREFULLY remove the mechanism that lets in cold air by gradation from the old end cap. Then put these parts on the new end cap. This took some thinking. Finally reset endcap and put unit back together again. Sucess and I am 61 and female.

the ice tray was not filling to capacity and water was overflowing into ice bucket forming mounds of ice
After reading one of the repair stories that applied to my same problem I knew exactly what to do from there. It was simple to remove the old one and install the new one. My ice maker is working great and no more overflowing water.

Icemaker would jam up ejecting ice, require hand clearing each time
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the electric plug.
Then I removed the old unit & replaced it with the new, reverseing the proceedure.

Then unplugged the wiring harness from the ice maker. Then plugged it into the new ice maker. Then reinstalled it back into the freezer with the three bolts. Then plugged it back in.

Ice maker coating falls off and ice makers last about 2-3 years
It's rather easy and straight foward
(I've done about 3 of them over the years)
take out the ice tray and if you can the top rack (depending on the model of your freezer) for more elbow room. unscrew the bottom screw under- neath the ice maker, then the two top ones, this makes it easier to remove the electrical connector.
take off the old plastic housing(snaps off) put it on new one, take the old wire harness off old, put on the new one, and last take the old wire that turns on the ice maker and shuts it off when full! that pulls out and snaps in the new one, and just reverse the install process!

Ice maker quit making ice. Motor was not pulling water in.
I found your website with the step by step video on how to replace the ice maker on my refrigerator. It looked really simple, so I ordered the part from you and it was here in 2 days. It absolutely took less than 15 min to remove the old ice maker and replace it with the new one----and it works. You helped me save close to $200.00. Thank you!!!

Water would not flow into ice tray of icemaker
Disconnted current icemaker and removed from freezer. Took off front cover and long arm that control ice dispenser. Put cover and control arm on new icemaker, reconnected bundled wires into new icemaker and clipped along side of icemaker and remounted into freezer. Connnected into back panel for power and checked water supply line to make sure it was lined up properly and job was done. Made sure arm was in down position, had ice cubes in an approx 90 mins.

BrokenCrisper Frame Center Rail
First all product had to be removed in order to remove glass top that cover the crisper drawers, then removed both drawers and thenremoved the broken Crisper Frame Center Rail and installed the new part. Even with cleaning everything and putting it back together the whole job was only about twenty minutes of work time. Best thing of all was the price for the part, I will try to use PartSelect item for any other repairs I do on my appliancce!!
