Light switch in the refrigerator was faulty from the first day we installed the fridge.
I had ordered some other parts for something entirely different off your website and service was great. So after almost ten years of a dark refrigerator, because of a defective switch, I decided to see if you had the part to fix it... You did and the part got here in 3 days. I had a working light switch and all the light in the world where my husband needed it most (in the fridge). It took me at the most ten minutes to replace the part. All is well now and I have a happy husband who can find the leftovers just fine. Thanks for your great service!

rust on the shaft in bottom drawer freezer
Thanks to a very patient husband. He looked at the situation and methodically took the freezer drawer apart by trial and error and was able to replace the old shaft with the one we had ordered. We do not understand why this basic information is not in the manual or on the internet. It was relatively easy once we knew in what order to take the drawer apart.

Change Ice Maker/ Water Fill Cup
The ice maker change out was easy. The problem was the part came with a different filler cup but the one needed was supplied. Changing to the other cup required taking the ice maker apart and installing the other filler cup. Go to the parts list and find the filler cup. Use instructions found there to change to other cup and then install your ice maker.

Drawer guides were broken
Drawer guides on the bottom of the crisper frame could not be glued back into place. The replacement frame arrived in 1 day. Be gentle removing crisper vent shutters, trim, and the metal reinforcement channel from the old frame! Re-install them on the new frame then hang the assembly in the fridge. Slide the drawers and glass back into place. I added a dab of clear silicone grease (bulb and socket lube)on each drawer slide.

Ice is flowing again
My Maytag side by side had stopped making ice suddenly. My wife loves her ice. We were at a loss until we found the Parts Select website. I ordered the new icemaker and the dual water valve. After watching the short installation videos I changed the parts on my refrigerator and in about 45 minutes I heard the sound of ice dropping into the bucket. With the wide selection of part and easy to understand videos we had Ice and my wife was happy. I recommend this site to anyone that wants to repair a malfunctioning appliance

The bottom freezer and the fridge stopped cooling what seemed at a random time but was also after an electrical storm.
First off I had no idea how a fridge worked or where to begin and the troubleshooting section of the manual was a joke. So I took the back panel off made sure the coils underneath were clean. Took out the back panel of the freezer and made sure that nothing was frozen over and I hadn't seen excess water on the floor so ruled that out. I knew the condenser was still running so I took a shot in the dark. Ordered the part and waited for it to arrive. It took me 3 minutes to open the box and install it. Immediately knew it was working replaced the back panel and moved the fridge back.
